Should be some real quality still left at that spot.

Rey M's replacement, please.

Burfict is the perfect replacement for Rey M. Just move him over immediately. We really need another safety for the defense, and a running back who can hit the long runs. Other than that keep stocking up on linemen on both sides of the ball.

Ok....Burfict's replacement, please.

We drafted 2 D lineman high last year and neither got a chance to play. I just can't see us drafting one in the first 3 or 4 rounds.

We are deep in the DL, provided everybody reups (Micheal Johnson, please) . You can never have too many olinemen though, especially if they can't get Andre to reup.

I'm not real high on a lot of the Safeties this year. Reid doesn't look like he can play in coverage very well without a lot of talent around him.

David Amerson is a guy I'd love to pick at the beginning of the 2nd round. I think he is a guy who needs to move to S. His ball hawking would make the perfect addition beside Nelson.

1st - LBer - Mosley or Ogletree
2nd a. - David Amerson S
2nd b. - Jordan Poyer CB
3rd - Brandon Jenkins DE (I think we should let Geathers go)
4th - Jonathan Franklin RB
5th - Brian Winters OT
6th - Jordan Rodgers QB
7th - Denard Robinson RB/WR/KR/PR

I'm a Matt Elam fan. I think he'd be a great fit here and would start immediately. Tenacious player with a nose for the ball. Also athletic enough to cover slot receivers if need be. Also like Tony Jefferson. Reid I like. Also would be happy with either safety out of UGA but prefer Rambo.

Mosley is going back to school, btw so cross him off your board.

I'm thinking...

1. Ogeltree LB Georgia
2a. Elam SS UF
2b Khaseem Greene LB rutgers

might have to take Elam at 1. They could take Bernard RB UNC then at early 2 and Greene at 2b. It's early but I think the draft shakes out well to be late 1/early 2.

Look for RB/WR in 3 and 4. Really like Barner out of Oregon as change of pace back.

I think Amerson would be a MUCH better Safety than Elam. He was a top 10, potentially a top 5 pick before this year.

By Teo, I hope you mean Jarvis Jones, the best LB in the country this year.

It would take more than a 1st and a 2nd to trade up for either.

Amerson is a CB, not a safety.

There are quite a few bona fide S in this draft (including Elam) who I would rather have than drafting a guy to move positions.

And if you are going to go that route, Xavier Rhodes may be a better CB than Amerson.

edit: Amerson does have a S build, I just don't trust our coaching staff to be honest.

I trust our coordinators just fine. And most scouting websites I've seen say Amerson is better off moving to S. I like his ball hawking ability more than anyone else in this draft.

Plus it's an extra pick we have so I'm ok with making a boom or bust pick.

I think most of them say that because of his size alone.

Agreed on the fact that it's an 'extra' pick, but I dont want that to discourage our staff from picking another safety as well

Nah. Teo is currently projected to go between 15-20.

Almost everything I've seen has him going top 5. Most have him going to Oakland at 4. Though there is a lot of talk that if KC doesn't take a QB at 1 then they could take him. He isn't dropping out of the top 10.

I think you may be making this up.

I'll have to look into Amerson more. Elam already is at safety. He's physical and athletic enough to play corner. Also plays with passion and always seems to be around the ball. He loves to hit which can actually be a detrment in todays NFL.

I think if they were to do something just for the hell of it at 2a they could go WR. Justin Hunter would be a boom or bust pick.

Why go WR with Jones, Sanu and Hawkins in the fold?
