I like Dom Smith...but that was a stupid AB approach by him right there with 1 out after Snell just walked 2 in a row to load the bases......he went after the 1st pitch and weakly GIDP to come up empty.

A golden opportunity missed.

No score after 4.

deGrom already has 8 K's, but getting no run support to this point.

B2b doubles by Pillar & McKinney gets the Mets on the board 1st.

After Peraza worked a walk, and with deGrom batting, Snell balked to move both runners up.
So all Jake did then was knock them both in with a 2 rbi single....that ends up chasing Snell to the shower.
Still no outs...

Which is just another reason to question Rojas' dumb decision to pull deGrom.
He could've let him pitch that 7th inning, instead of going to Castro...knowing he'd likely be PH for anyway.

Mets go 1-2-3 in the home 7th. Aaron Loup is coming in.

Jacob deGrom, who left Friday's game with flexor tendinitis, is not expected to miss a start for the Mets. His 0.56 ERA is the lowest ever by a pitcher through 10 starts.
