Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti, who went 7-13 with a 4.53 ERA and 1.40 WHIP as a rookie in 2024, goes for Houston. Game time is 7:15 p.m. ET, and coverage will air on FOX.

Mets only managed 1 hit ( Soto's double in the 1st inning).....in a 2-1 rubber game loss to Houston.
Soto also had the lone rbi for NY on a run scoring ground out in the 6th...to tie the game.
The Astros pushed their 2nd run across in the bottom half...which was all they needed.
NY was 0 for 8 w/ RISP.

Canning was very good in his Mets debut, and he deserved a better fate.

Houston remains a house of horrors

Managerial missteps and a dormant offense sunk the Mets in the series finale.
