The teams meet again Saturday in the second game of the three-game series. Lefty David Peterson (1-0, 2.52) is scheduled to start for the Mets. The Athletics will call up (former Mets minor leaguer) right-hander J.T. Ginn from Triple-A Las Vegas to make the start.
Ginn was included in the trade to the A's in 2022 for P Chris Bassitt (who is now with Toronto).
