If games go our way the rest of today, we still have life going into this game. Will post scenarios and other related news as it comes.

Correction: It is not as simple as a win and in for the Dolphins.

Here are the scenarios for next week:

Miami must win AND Baltimore loss

OR

Miami win and SD win - If these happen, Miami is in. Which means, as long as Miami wins, Baltimore can still win, but SD would have to lose in order for us to get in. I think this is where the 3-way tie breaker favors us because in this case the Ravens win the division and we win the 3-way tie over SD and CIN

Shouldn't that say SD win

Basically Miami win and Baltimore loss or San Diego win.

4 PM games now over, SNF and MNF left to play still - But, based on tiebreakers, for now - Fins hold the 6th seed. You can check NFL.com or ESPN.com for yourself to see the standings and explanations.

To be more accurate, of the 4 scenarios, only 2 have the Fins in the playoffs. Will post times of related games next. Coverage map comes out later in the wek so we can see which games are televised in what market.

one scenario exist of which would get the Fins eliminated even if they win - Fins beat Jets, SD lose to KC = Fins eliminated.

That is tough.

Hope that Cincy wants to play. The only reason to win is to hold the #3 seed, lose and they end up with #4 seed. Really not much to play for.

I stand corrected on above statement, Bengals can still reach #2 seed with a Pats lose

I dont think thats right Paolo, If the Fins win and SD loses, it doesnt matter as long as Baltimore loses.. we need a Fins win and SD win, or Fins win and Balt loss..

I think;

If Fins win and Ravens lose, Fins are in
If Fins win and Ravens win, they need Bolts to win
If Fins win, Ravens win and bolts lose, Ravens go. Fins need a three way tie if they and Ravens have same record.

As disgusted as I am right now you are correct they get in under those circumstances. Wouldn't shock me if all three teams lose....Fins would back in.

If all three lose and the Steelers win the Steelers are in. If all three lose and the Steelers lose the Ravens are in because the Jets would finish ahead of us based on division record.

Here is what perplexes me about this team. Have have beaten the Colts, Pats, Bengals, Steelers and Chargers. But have lost to Bills (2x), Bucs.

Parity in the NFL?

It seems the most direct scenarios that would get us in, are: A BAL Loss or tie or SD Win - That said, under either one of these scenarios, the Fins HAVE to win - Still, these seem as the two easiest scenarios.

So, my question to you is: Assuming the Fins win, which is more likely to happen a BAL loss or SD win?

You know that the Bengals would love to knock them out and are a better bet to do so than the Jets beating the Fins in Miami. I think they'll play better on Sunday and the ravens will lose. Diego will win but lose in the tie breaker. Crazy year they can never do things easy....sherman needs to go that's all I know the fucking guy just can't stick to the run!!!! that may just be their downfall.

Most likely would be Bengals beating Ravens, Bengals are tough at home. Not quite sure how to call the SD & KC game. KC is locked in at wild card so they are #5 seed regardless if they win or lose. So, would you rest starters? I think it plays to SD's side so I will say they win.
