Cookie was a FB back when FBs ran the ball quite often. He was big star in Buffalo for the Bills and in the AFL. The Broncos acquired him in 65 and he was the first marquee level player for the Broncos. Good football player - acquired by the Broncos again in 67.

Cookie was as tough as they come. He had a fist fight with the Chiefs tight end Fred Arbanas who was a pretty big guy as well. That was when Cookie was a Bronco. The fight was in the parking lot...Cookie won.
