He also hates Catholics.
I don't hate individual Catholics, I feel sorry for them, for being duped. Roman Catholic Hierarchy on the other hand? Oh yeah, I got major issues with them, including the Pope. Greedy money lovers, pushing their Anti-American leftist SJW bs politics onto the country, too many pedoph1les or protectors of pedoph1les, corruptors of people's souls.

That's a lie, I don't hate ND for any of those reasons you listed. If you only knew how ridiculous such accusations make you look.

ND's legacy in cfb is one of the few things I respect about ND.

How many times do I gotta tell you I'm making fun of you before you finally figure it out? Your nonstop Gophers homerism is epically funny. You're one of kind.

I stay outta religious stuff. Shouldn't have been mentioned in the first place.
This thread started in the politics forum, and Notre Dame claims to be the most Catholic University in America, and that, Catholics, has been their main, if not their sole recruiting base for most of it's history, and Catholics are also who fund the school/fb program, too.

So thinking that religious stuff should never be talked about when discussing ND is like not mentioning that the Univ of Minnesota is a public land grant university located within the State of Minnesota and funded in part by Minnesota taxpayers.

Well, you could just admit that I am right, that would make me feel better. lol

And I can't help being a Minnesota homer, as every time I learn something new about the school/state, I become more impressed.

Such as what I learned yesterday. I never knew that the "real" Maverick of Top Gun was a UMn alum.

I grew up on the Indiana side of the Indiana-Ohio state line. The area has a lot of Catholics, Lutherans, and Amish making up the population. Of course the Indiana Catholics loved Notre Dame and were obnoxious (though just below Ohio State fans). Their soft independent schedule just annoys me. The fact my Wolverines started their program and wanted to end it is a good measure. Using that as an excuse to not join the B1G but then join in hockey is dumb. Also the only college football NBC has is ND which is dumb when they still play on ABC/ESPN, CBS, and Fox.

Yeah, their soft schedules never impressed me, but I don't think they did that on purpose, I just think most teams didn't want to play them, outside of B1G teams. And taking them in for hockey was kind of lame, but was mostly done out of necessity. Unlike football, ND hockey didn't make a ton of unreasonable demands to join the conf.

Fighting Irish is kind of redundant.

Those potato monkeys are always getting drunk and throwing fists off each other's skulls.

Make you feel better? Not a chance. You deserve whatever's thrown your way. You've redefined the word homer on this site.

Everyone likes their team. But you take it to an extreme level. Chill out.

Top Gun, really? Stop that nonsense.

You don't like that, you aren't impressed with a UMner being the "real" Maverick, the real Top Gun, acclaimed as one of the best pilots in American history?

How about The Right Stuff? One of the original Apollo Astronauts, Deke Slayton?

How about the FIRST woman into space? She's in the International Space Hall of Fame, along with Deke and Robert Gilruth, the guy in charge of the Apollo program(Director of The Johnson Space Center), AND...

the fastest man on earth, John Stapp, who if a seatbelt has ever saved your life you can thank him for.

Or Leonard Edelen, another UMner, first man to break the 2 hour 15 minute marathon mark, so another kind of fastest man on earth. Only 8 Americans ever held this honor

Or how about the Fastest Computer on Earth? UMner Seymour Cray built the fastest computers on earth FOR DECADES!!!

Or how about the FIRST Internet, being called Gopher because it was created by UMners?

Space exploration and computers not your thing?

How about the FIRST musician ever to get awarded a Nobel Prize in literature? Bob Dylan?

Another UMner Nobel Winner saving billions of lives by sparking the Green Revolution?

How about only one other American public university being associated with more Nobel Prize winners than UMn?

All that Nobel sh1t not your thing?

How about Education? The FIRST American University built up from scratch in the 20th Century, USF, now one of the top research universities in the nation, built by a UMn alum?

Civil Rights? 1/3rd of the Big Six of the Civil Rights Movement were UMn alum! This does not include 2 of the 4 Congressional leaders who signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act being UMn alum as well.

Should I bring up Organ transplantation firsts and milestones? Or how a UMner inventing the Mass Spectrometer has impacted the medical fields as well as other sh1t like space exploration even? Or is that boring for you?

How about Science Fiction literature? Should I mention how UMners like Poul Anderson and Gordon R Dickson dominate sci fi literature? Not to mention a UMner's inventing the Particle Accelerator giving those writers one of their favorite devices for storylines.

Maybe the inventor of Dungeons and Dragons interests you, or is that too geeky?

And I hope you realize that I could do this ALL DAY LONG, lol.
