Dear Bill, Sacks are overrated but pressure is not...get more pass rushers.

I would agree but I would also say the Pats made strides in the pass rush on defense. They had 49 sacks andI think Collins will help next year.Jones creates a great deal of pressure from the outside and Ninkovich does the same. would it be nice to get one more edge rusher?Yes but the draft is not loaded with top outside rushers.Now there are some inside rushers and the Pats are in the 4-3 so they can use them.

I think being able to play your coverages correctly is also important. Pats will be okay and the thing I want is bigger corners and a big safety but that Seattle defense is special.

Pressure is nice but today's very mobile QBs can exploit that, it's a nice concept but sacking the QB means a tackle for loss that IMO is much more important then getting pressure.

I think the key is pressure, but disciplined pressure. Everyone bull rushing up the middle will leave the ends open for a speed QB. Force a speed QB to move, but not escape and your either going to create a pick or a deeper sack.

True. Unless that pressure leads to a pick.
Pick is better than a sack, but sacks leads to hurry's which lead to picks..

Get a QB now?

Not saying Tom Brady has nothing left in the tank at all because clearly he does. But do you think the Patriots should draft a QB and let him actually learn under his wing and be his predecessor? I don't think Ryan Mallet will remain with the team and take over for Brady in about 3-4 years.

What say you? I know the Pats have much more pressing issues at more positions but we have seen without a QB in this league how terrible a team could be regardless of it's offensive weapons.
