I totally disagree. Bosa or Ramsey can make the defense better. Zeke helped make the Cowboys D substantially better by keeping them off the field. A productive back is one thing, a special one is another. Emmitt Smith was the main reason the Cowboys were the team of the 90's

No respect for either oline? If you don't have a decent oline the whole thing goes to shit no matter how good the QB or RB is. If the boys have done anything good its build olines...

What about HOFers Aikman, Irvin, Haley, and Allen in addition to Emmitt? At those positions, the current Cowboys only have that potential level of talent at G.

If you look at the games it wasn't the absence of Emmitt that lost the first two games just as wasn't because of him they won when he came back, Emmitt was no question a huge reason they were a great team but they would have still been a contender without him. Remember the guy who played those two games? You are the only one who does...

I'm not discounting Smith or Elliott's efforts but the oline had a lot to do with it...as well as a few other star players didn't hurt.

The team's aren't comparable on defense. Offense, they are similar, great OL, great RB, WT, TE...defensively, I don't see anything that looks like Haley, Deion, or DWoodson
