BTW, here's Beauchemin's line:
Code:D 81 111 27 35 17
Clearly the defensive winner, but at only half the offensive production. Tough call.
D 115 115 35 16 10
A negative Corsi for Suter may mean the Wild are very passive when defending their own zone 5 on 5. A positive Corsi means a defensemans team is better at generating shots for when he's on the ice, and then this boils down to this being an offensive award again and a defensive award second.
BTW, here's Beauchemin's line:
Code:Pos Hits BkS MsS GvA TkA D 81 111 27 35 17
Clearly the defensive winner, but at only half the offensive production of the top defensemen scorers. Tough call.
changed it abit because it is team stat reliant
however the Wild did outshoot their opponents in 27 of the 48 games of the regular season (and they tied their opponents in 5 other games)
The Wild was the least penalized team in the league this season, and theoretically it's easier to get shots when not a man down.
Then that would preclude Subban from the list, then. He had the highest PP numbers (goals and assists) than anyone else, by a longshot.Beauchemin has more goals than Letang or Suter, just not as many assists. The ability to rack up powerplay assists should not determine the Norris to me.
How about we just conclude that no one is happy no matter what happens?

I was referring to amongst the 3 nominees and Beauch.
my bad didnt realize you had brought him into the discussion earlier
/and btw those stats I posted were for Seidenberg
yet Suter ended up with a negative 5v5 Corsi
