Normally this site would rave "Cousins & Rondo to LAL" for the rest of the week...

Why is everybody so quiet after the McGee, Green, Cousins and Rondo signs? Aren't they any good?

Because they’re talking about it in other threads and didn’t need a useless one such as this.

Everyone was waiting for you to start a thread about it.

Now that you have, we'll probably just mock you instead though.

No, it wouldn't be the biggest news with that kind of attention. It's the new NBA where the vets are in control of the league and player movement and the teams are forced to play the "this is what we have and we're going to offer you the max and get your buddies signed too" game.

It's ok that you don't understand that, we all know you're a little slow on the uptake.

I had quit paying attention to those stooges. I already know the Lakers have a good team and will be competitive and I saw no reason to create an argument with those asswipes. Gee I hope they dont take that personally

Nothing to rant or rave about really. I'd like to see the final version of the line up or at least a better idea of that before saying, but yes I think the Lakers will be in the top 4 teams in the West and yes I think they have a good shot at a title, but the Clippers wont be a joke either. I personally like watching the journey first and not reach to the future to fast.. Life is short

Cousins and AD, KK, Green, Rondo to go with LBJ...it may not be plan A, B or C, but that just might work out

Yeah, the rest of the roster isn't exactly what the Lakers (or us Lakers fans) were hoping for (the cost of waiting for Kawhi).

But considering what most were saying they were looking at, they have actually done a much better job than most thought/expected in filling out the rest of the roster.

Heck, they've done a better job than they did last year and that team was solidly in the playoff hunt before all of the injuries started piling up.

Yeah, that's a lot better team than they had last year

prob. because not one of those guys is anywhere near the top of their games.

I'd argue that McGee is probably as good as he's ever been, but he's not a star player by any means. Two of these guys are just re-signings, and Boogie somehow slipped almost entirely though free agency unsigned. I don't know if he intended to wait and pair up with AD or not, but Boogie's (again, for the 2nd season in a row) a low cost flyer on a talented but slowed by injury player. If he can get even close to what he used to be, he'll be up for a nice raise next year.

I would've preferred an upgrade over Rondo (his defense was atrocious last year), but that was the main casualty of waiting for Kawhi; a better starting PG. At least they were able to keep Caruso for depth (the Warriors were sniffing around him).

I'm not thrilled with what they paid for KCP either (even though it has gone down every year now), or that they brought him back at all.. He's a talented player with a 2-cent head, too often making the wrong play at the wrong time. Bad shots early in the clock are almost a staple with him.
