Yeah, I saw the I think full length video of the interpreter translating the interview last night on a sports channel or MLB network and I was shocked at his blatant, just piss poor attitude towards the organization the owners, the manager of the team and everything it’s like he’s got a case of the red ass that they want him to play a position that any fat old guy could play how the hell can you play third base last year and you can’t become a first base in less than a week of getting your footwork and reps and Everything in order order

He just has his panties in a bunch because Bregman beat him out of third base and he’s thinking he’s on easy street banging the big box as a designated hitter sitting on his ass playing grab ass eating sunflower seeds all day long

So now he’s being defiant about wanting to play first base to help out the team after a guy comes up injured

I think he’s being a big pussy and sounds like a schniveling little bitch
I do agree with you but I do have to place some blame on the FO. He signed that massive contract thinking he's the everyday 3B and then go and sign Bergmen. He was pissed but realized like you said all he has to do is hit and relax the rest of the game which seemed like he became just fine with. The FO screwup is putting him at 1B when they said he would only be a DH after losing out at 3B. They are kind of jerking the guy around unless this is the plan and hope he asks for a trade because the FO feels they screwed up giving a semi-below avg fielding 3B a big payday.

What I didn't realize is he is on a $300+M deal. Good luck with that.

He thinks he deserves 3B because of the past, but he is a really bad 3B. He knows it but is just being a putz. I would take his bat, but I don't want his glove or his attitude...or salary.
The way it seems is the Red Sox have screwed up royally when it comes to Devers. The way it comes off is everyone in the organization is too scared to have talked to him so are just allowing the media to do it. The whole Devers moving positions should’ve been made crystal clear to him when they started talking to Bregman. Heck if he is as bad of a 3B as everyone says than that is even more of a knock IMO on the Red Sox for not moving him off of 3B earlier.
