Looking through old articles I came across this one. t was from 2012 trade deadline on a national site. I know I have a bad memory, but I don't remember this rumor.

12:40 a.m.: There could be a blockbuster deal in the works. A four-team trade is brewing, and the latest team rumored to be in on the Rangers, Indians and Diamondbacks deal is the Mariners, according to Ken Rosenthal. The deal would send Justin Upton to the Rangers, Asdrubal Cabrera to the Diamondbacks, Derek Holland to the Mariners and prospect going to the Indians. Rumored players going to Cleveland are the Diamondbacks’ Trevor Bauer and Patrick Corbin and the Rangers’ Mike Olt.

I don't remember that one either. When I first saw this post all I read was Derek Holland to the Mariners in bold and I lost my mind. Immediately went to MLBTR to see what the eff was happening. Then read your entire post and realized this was from a few years back.

Sad about Stanton, hopefully this isn't a start of an injury prone career like Griffey after his big contract. I still wish Seattle would've gotten a deal done for him when they had a ton of highly rated prospects. No way he is with the Marlins in 3 years with that contract and cheap owner. It's one sure thing with South Florida teams is that once you make big money down there your days are numbered on that team.

Two sources say that #Angels GM Jerry Dipoto packed up his office and left today. Club official: “Status quo here as of now.” Possible that Dipoto acted out of emotion. Possible that he is resigning. Nothing confirmed.

The Rangers have DFA'd Neftali Feliz. Pretty interesting.

In 2010 he was the AL ROY. He's not having a great year (4.48 ERA in 19.2 IP), but he does have a career 2.69 ERA and had a 1.99 ERA last year. Kind of surprising that they'd DFA him. With the Mariners having some struggles from their bullpen (Rodney, Wilhemsen, Farquar), it would be nice if we could pick him up. I think he could be an interesting guy to add.
