but it is not like the canadian football league... The AFL merged into the NFL.... It is like also saying that the 1960s NFL wasn't the NFL because half the NFL teams were AFL teams...
It is like the Canadian league in the fact it was an inferior league. Why do you think the players from the AFL aren't known? The competition wasn't as good, why do think people were shocked when the Jets upset the Colts because the NFL was the better league. Why did over 90% of the players drafted by both leagues go to the NFL?
