Aaron Ward was in the cesspool (and with a serious tone) said the Gila River Indian community, who currently hold the naming rights to the arena in Glendale, would be willing to build a new arena on their reservation and become part owners in some capacity ... wtf ???

I am hearing similar things except I hear a popular internet job search company may join in. Word is the arena might become the Gila Monster Arena.

Hoping no. AZ has a lot of good young F prospects. They should be looking at D, and maybe trading down a bit in the process. Or I dunno, they might be looking for a rink.

They have plenty of depth on defense. They only have 2 highly touted forward prospects in Domi & Duclair. They were pathetic offensively last season. Arcobello was their best forward in the second half of the season & they got him off waivers from Pittsburgh. They should take the best forward on their board at 3.

It all depends on scouts/GMs opinions of who the best player available is. There's a good argument for all of Strome/Marner/Hanifin/Provorov to be the best player available at 3. It's all going to come down to what the GMs hear from their scouts, which scouts picked up things that other teams' guys didn't, etc.

Uneducated, baseless guess? AZ takes Strome, Leafs take Marner, Carolina takes Hanifin, Devils take Pavel Zacha.
