HardKnocks will feature the Atlanta Falcons.
This is fine by me. I didn't want the extra focus on our Bears. (Keep some of the myths of QB whispers O's a mystery) As much and as entertaining, as it would have been with Bennett, Marshall, Allen, and the rest... I'm also greatful that the nation can't tune in and throw more crap at/about Jay. (even thought I think it could have been a good thing for him to show a better side)

So we will get to see Devin Hester and his mumbling words on camera some more! "know what say'n"

Go Bears!

I love Devin Hester, truly, I do. Although, I'm pretty sure if he never picked up a football his ceiling would be somewhere in the realm of the fast food industry or ditch digging. The guy can barely speak.

I guess I can cancel HBO now

I guess so. I rarely watch the channel anyway, so no great shakes.

In a way, I'm glad the Bears are not featured. I could only imagine all the Cutler bashing because of it.

It's funny to see stupid fans being so "protective" of the Bears or of a grown man like Jay Cutler. Oh and let's not forget all the secrets that would have been exposed! The Falcons are sure to have a bad season now! Oh my God we dodged a gigantic bullet!

People are so dumb.

I guess I am the only fan in here that's disappointed the Bears weren't chosen. It would have been great exposure for the organization.

Lol. Great exposure? They are one of the most popular teams in the league? You act like they're the Jags or some shit?

I've never watched Hard Knocks, but I do wonder about something. What is the deal HBO has with the league? Does one team HAVE to do Hard Knocks? I would think from a team's standpoint that there is almost no upside to being on that show, so why would a team decide to do it, unless the league basically forces them? If that's the case, then eventually do all 32 teams have to take their turn some year?

Teams struggling to bring attention to themselves in their hometowns such as the Jags, Rams, Vikings, or Chargers could definitely benefit from it. I would think.

Cali- this is what I found:
Despite the difficulty each year in finding a team willing to participate, NFL Films announced on July 18, 2013, that it had signed a "multiyear" contract extension with HBO to continue producing the show.

On October 8, 2013, the NFL announced that one team each year will be required to participate in Hard Knocks. Teams may still volunteer to be on the show. Teams with new coaches, teams that have been in the playoffs at least once in the past 2 years, or teams that have done the show once in the past 10 years are exempt from being forced into appearing on the show.

So as long the Bears make the playoffs- they won't have to do it. Like many have said it does bring more attention to your team if you're in a smaller market- and that's what we have to keep considering- that the NFL is a business based on ratings and selling shit. While we know the Bears will not have to worry about that too much... these teams do need some type of boast. Go Bears

Who's being "protective"? Is that is the only information you extrapolated from the above posts?

Sometimes you have interesting things to say, but stupidity must have crept into your thoughts when you made this post.

Jesus. The implication in my post, is that they dont need the exposure!

I ignored your original implication because it was so dumb that i decided to give you the benefit of the doubt. My bad. To imply we don't need the exposure bc the bears are plenty popular is retarded. You can always use additional exposure. It's not something tangible where there's no room for more. Jesus, who thinks like this? It's not like the Bears the most favorite team in the NFL by every freaking fan in the world.

No. What i took away is you idiots thinking that being on Hard Knocks will somehow have a negative impact on the Bears this season, which includes hurting Cutler's feelings. What other possible reason is there for not wanting to have more access to your favorite team? So go ahead dummy, tell me why you don't want the Bears featured on Hard Knocks. This ought to be good and of course will have no resemblance to protecting the Bears.

The only fan?? Good grief. Not at all. However, it's hardly a surprise that you would come to that conclusion.

Your reply, one that will consist of making a point out of something I didn't say, or reference comes next...
