Series Thread: NLDS - LA Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves

Here's my offseason plans:

Trade Ender Inciarte, hopefully for a quality reliever.

Move Acuna to center field, bring Markakis back on a two year deal and keep him in right and sign Bryce Harper to play left.

Include Mike Soroka in a package to trade for JT Realmuto.

Trade Austin Riley, Sean Newcomb and Bryse Wilson to the Giants for Madison Bumgarner.

Trade Julio Teheran for whatever you can get for him.

Sign Craig Kimbrel.

Rotation going into 2019 looking like:

Bumgarner
Folty
Touki Toussaint
Gausman
Kyle Wright

Lineup of:

1. Acuna-RF
2. Albies-2B
3. Freeman- 1B
4. Harper-LF
5. Realmuto-C
6. Markakis-RF
7. Camargo- 3B
8. Swanson- SS

And a back end of the bullpen looking like Sobotka, Minter, Vizcaino, Kimbrel

That's a real contending team.

And I know that signing Kimbrel is probably the only realistic thing I just said.

Well fellers, for some reason Snit has decided to go with Sean Newcomb tomorrow. The guy that has melted down in every high leverage game this season will be in charge of extending our season for another day.

Gausman was only 3-0 with an ERA of around 2.50 at STP this year.

But he did say Ender will be batting second. Hopefully Camargo will hit 5th.

Series is already over, but it would be nice to show some pride and win one. But With Newk on the mound in the highest pressure start of his career, it could be 8-0 Dodgers before we even get a chance to bat.

If Harper is off the table, I'd let Markakis walk and keep Ender and let the Christian Pache era begin. If nothing else, we'll have the best outfield defense in the Majors.

Him and Freddie Freeman are close friends. There's been rumblings around town all season about it. Don't know if it we win the bid, but we'll be in the mix.

Well, if this is the last game of our season, and in all likelihood, it is, it has been a fun, unexpected ride.

Hopefully we improve the team in the offseason, because after getting there this season, the goal for the season will be more than just making the playoffs.

It may be that he wants to get him some post season experience...

I guess my biggest issue with starting Newk is that he's going on 2 days rest. Sure, he only pitched 2 innings on Thursday, but he still got hot in the pen and pitched 2 innings in the game. This is a guy that was pretty well useless if he didn't get extra rest during the season.
