I had hundreds of MLB cards when I was a kid. I used them on my bike wheels to make them sound like a Harley. I wish I had those same cards today.

Same here. Funny thing, I always remember having too many Felix Mantilla cards. Open up a pack of cards and gum, and there he'd be. It seems they must have printed 100 million for some reason.

Anytime Koufax was pitching against the hapless Phillies back in the day, I was watching. You could always write off the Koufax-Drysdale games. Lol. And of course, I always followed the WS. Along with the Larsen perfect game, the WS game that I remember most was the dramatic 9th inning Mazeroski homer that beat the Yankees.
Personally I consider this series a gentleman sweep - there was no way Dave put in Utely and Grunderson last night if he was serious about winning and tonight he put in all of the major hitters, and pitcher and the scary part is one of the Dodgers best hitters is on the dl list.

11-1 - Now that was a beat down, an asswhipping and humiliation:lol:

The Dodgers weren't about to take any shit last night. Dodger pitching, .228 in post, was too much for the Cubs who went .168/.240/.289 vs LA's .273/.378/.494 in the post season. Pathetic comparison.

Good series to the Cubs and all their fans.

Now they just need 4 more.

Props to the Dodgers and fans. Wish it was a bit better of a series. Good luck to both going forward.

TLF, it's been a long time. 29 years is too long. The Dodgers are on a roll and we need 4 more wins.

Yeah I remember having quite a few Mickey Mantle cards. I tried to trade them to my friends, but no one in my neighborhood liked Mickey at the time. Oh the good old days.

Yep!! I was living in Los Angeles when the Dodgers moved there in 58. They had no baseball stadium at that time so they played in the Coliseum.

A HOLE Stephen A Smith believes the Yankees will beat them
Well I guess Stephen A. Smith has an opinion just like the rest of us. I will laugh my ass off if Houston wins that series.
