I had all the Yankees baseball cards for 1956 and 1957. I wish I still had them. They disappeared when I was in the Navy.

Let's face it, Astros would not be equipped to deal with these Dodgers. LA vs power rejuvenated NY is the best WS.

I'm leaning Dogs 4 games to 2, win it in NY

Ya think we should really count the Astros out?

I don't think so. Hope so but they are good enough to win if NY stumbles just a little

Two 3 home run performances this postseason. That's cool.

I had hundreds of MLB cards when I was a kid. I used them on my bike wheels to make them sound like a Harley. I wish I had those same cards today.

I was wondering if any of you guys are old enough to have ever seen a Yankee/Dodger WS. I have and look forward to another. The Sandy Koufax and Whitey Ford days were awesome.
I was living in Los Angeles during the 63 WS, when the Dodgers beat the Yankees in 4 straight. Koufax was great in that series.

I saw Don Larsen pitch his perfect game in the 1956 World Series, Yanks and Brooklyn Dodgers, game 5, I believe it was. I watched it on our 12” black and white tv on Marshall Street in Lancaster, Pa. I distinctly remember Yogi Berra jumping into Larsen’s arms when he threw the final pitch. It will always stick in my mind.
Yes I watched Larsen's perfect game on TV too. I also listened to the 55 WS between the Dodgers and Yankees on the radio. Fond memories.

I was hoping for the 101 win Astros to finally reach the WS but with Keuchel getting shelled by the Yankees and their bats going quiet in succeeding games, it now seems unlikely. However, you can't count them out with Verlander on the mound today. It still could go 7 though and anything can happen. And then, could Yankee bats go silent down in Houston? Perhaps the hurricane setback will motivate the Astros to go bananas and take the 7th game.

Not yet - Houston is a good team, but I am thinking a Dodgers vs Yankees World Series would be epic and draw more viewers - Might be the most watched of all time

Anytime Koufax was pitching against the hapless Phillies back in the day, I was watching. You could always write off the Koufax-Drysdale games. Lol. And of course, I always followed the WS. Along with the Larsen perfect game, the WS game that I remember most was the dramatic 9th inning Mazeroski homer that beat the Yankees.
