3 1-run games is an epic collapse? You continue to show your idiocy by making stupid declarations void of any actual evidence. Did losing 3 hurt? Yup, for sure. Epic collapse? I think you need to check the definitions of the words you use because neither of those words describe the situation at all.

"there is not a weaker lineup in the Majors then the Giants" is absolutely stupid. When healthy, it was one of the most potent lineups top to bottom in the bigs. The problem has been injuries to too many and that stretched our depth past it's capabilities. When Blanco has to start most of the season when he was slated to start the season as a 4th/5th OF, that's a problem.

Aoki
Panik
Duffy
Posey
Pence
Crawford
Pagan
Belt

Where's your weak link? Pagan? Sure, add Blanco. Anyone else sucking? Check their stats before allowing anymore diarrehea dribbles from your pinhole.
Who said the Giants had "a weak link", not me. I said Giant fans shouldn't make excuses for injuries this year. The Dodgers have also had their fair share of injuries. "Every team" has injuries, not just the Giants!!! IMO, the injury excuse is a weak excuse.

That was not directed towards you, but rather NN (Mont...). He's a special type of doom and gloom.

Fair enough. :suds:

I agree with you regarding injuries....to an extent. When I address injuries, I'm not looking the past, I'm looking at what our team was built for and how injuries to multiple key players change your confidence in whether your team can take it to the next level. Me addressing injuries is not by any means me saying the Giants win the series if we have those guys, it's more about whether we will have the horses to chase the Dodgers down for the stretch drive. We currently have called guys up that have NO business getting their cuppo in the bigs. If we don't get Pence, Crawford, and Panik healthy, if we can't get Duffy, Pagan, and Aoki some much needed rest since they are playing hurt, then the chances of the Giants being even capable of making this type of run is slim to none.

Get serious. Who said anything about "when healthy" and what does that have to do with the present situation"? Their lineup is absurdly weak. Last night's being a prime example. "When healthy" matters not one iota; its what you put on the field that matters and that lineup sucks!

Losing 3 one-run games meant they had numerous chances to win each game and failed every time. I call that a collpase or perhaps a major choke would be a more appropriate term.

The lineup you posted above does not even resemble the one they put out there last night and for the last couple of weeks. They did a good job of putting this lineup together at the beginning of the season. They can't be held responsible for the injuries; what they can be held responsible for was depending on an aging, mediocre, injury prone starting staff to get them through the season. Their cheap skatedness and lack of foresight in that area is inexcusable.

I was talking to a very, very wealthy guy one day. He told me, "I'm really fucking good at mowing the lawn, but that's not why I went to law school."
The diffference being that Bumgarner can fix the bus in addition to being at or near the very top of his profession

Noted and filed. If I ever need a professional pitcher to fix a bus and be an asshole, I'll know the best place to go.

As long as you add "win a big game for you" to your list or requirements Bumgarner will fit the bill.

A rotation consisting of Ryan Vogelsong and the corpses of Tim Hudson and Jake Peavy hasn't worked out? Color me shocked.

The legend of Bumgarner in San Francisco knows no bounds. It's verging on the absurd at this point. The tall tales know no bounds. Now he's fixing the bus, next week his tears will cure Mike Piazza's latent homosexuality.

Every single game in the division is taking on more meaning. The Dodgers are in the position of controlling their own fate but they don't even have to win if the Giants don't.

What will it take to cure Piazza's steroid bacne?

BUT, BUT... PLAYOFF MOMENTUM!!!

Don't forget the propped up corpses of Cain and Lincecum. You cannot tell me the Giants did not see this coming and just said "fuck it" we already spent the money on these clowns so the fans can kiss our ass this year.

I thought that was pretty obvious from the get-go. Wasn't the whole plan hinging on blaming it on an "odd" year?

The fact that they made it as far as they have has been pretty shocking to me.

Remember a few weeks ago when the Dbacks thought they had a chance at the division?

Yep. This is the first season in years that I have not attended a single Giants game. I refuse to support a team whose main goal is not winning; whose main goal is profit.

Giants fans are too much, aren't they? :L

At what point do we mercifully stick a fork in this team?

They have half the talent of the Padres and twice to show for it.
At least padres ownership went out and tried to do something about it in the off season instead of putting a shitty pitching staff out there and telling the fans "fuck you" like the Giants did.
