The longer this drags on the less chance the Dodgers have of winning. Our bullpen will fold eventually, they need to end this asap. Can't have tired relievers for the rest of the series. Luckily we have Kershaw and Greinke on the mound but we can't rely on them to pitch 7-8 innings every single game. Well, maybe we can, but I'd feel more confident if we didn't.

Hard to say. Arrieta does have 4.2 more innings and a 0.43 ERA (compared to MadBum's 1.43, and Kershaw's 1.40). Bumgarner had a 0.71 FIP (!!!!) and 1.59 xFIP for the month though, and Fangraphs gives him a clear edge in WAR (2.2).

I think you have to give PITCHER of the month to Arietta. But Bum gets PLAYER of the month. He was a rock on the mound, AND went yard twice.

I can get behind that. Votto had some pretty sexy numbers this month as well (.314/.524/.616, 207 wRC+). Votto walked in 30.6% of his plate appearances that month. Barry Bonds-esque.
