Well, it was established yesterday that the Giants typically do not know who player’s agents are. Is it really that much if a stretch that they didn’t know who Boyd’s agent was?
Maybe established in your mind, but certainly not in the minds of the rest of us. We established that the Giants made no effort to try and re-sign Bryant because they did know who his agent was and that is why they knew they were getting a half-season rental. The Giants, like most of us knowledgeable baseball people, knew that with this roster there was no chance that a season like las year would come along again so they were willing to go all in to try and win it last year
You can see by this year's roster that they are right back where they started in 2017

Nah. They never even made an effort to sign him once they knew Scott Boras was his agent. Cheapskates, yes; incompetent, no.

When did they figure out who his agent was? Last week?

When they acquired him. That is why they never made a play for him once the season was over. He was a rental to try and win a title. It was a good idea, it just didn't work. He will hit a ton in Colorado though but they will still finish in 4th place.

Can't believe the Giants signed this fat fuck has been. Such a bad signing that the article even had to remind us that it was a "Major League" contract

He's earned just shy of $24M. I'm sure he'll survive.

Giants magic continues. Get good starting pitching, then bullpen blows a big lead but giants come back with bottom of the 9th homer to tie and then win in extras. Nice!

I can't remember the last time the Rockies won a series against the Dodgers to start the season, seems like whenenver they play to open the year they get embarrassed.

Big mistake signing Kris Bryant. Most over-rated player in the league

This is my most hated “unwritten rule”. While rare, comebacks do happen. If the team in the lead is supposed to “ease off the gas”, than the losing team should be allowed to concede the game. Why is one team allowed to continue trying while the other team is supposed stop?

Ridiculous.

It's especially dumb considering they were on the opposite end a couple of years ago when Tatis hit the grand slam.

Clayton Kershaw has a no-hitter after 7 at Target Field, so 6 more outs to go.

He may not get those outs though, Bally Sports North guys are saying he may get pulled for a reliever.

They pulled him at 80 pitches and 7 perfect innings.

Wow

The Giants lost a 12-1 lead to the Reds in 2012. Pile it on I say. If you don't like it then get somebody out.
