Rodgers is a much better 8th inning guy than a closer. he doesn't have that it factor that allows the closer to withstand the pressure of the ninth.

Canario and Killian are not “nobody”, but it is a very acceptable cost for a stud.

Canario is the “name” prospect in the deal, but I have a feeling Killian will end up being the bigger cost. Canario has never really done a whole lot for me. But I thought Reynolds was going to be a meh player as well, so take my opinion for what its worth.

Gausman has been horrendous the last 5 starts. His slump coincides with the time the umps started searching the pitchers as they came off the mound so it could be that he can no longer cheat or he is injured. I expect we’ll see him show up on the IL shortly

Interesting to see if the Giants will be willing to pay Bryant what it will take to keep him next year. Either way, the cost to get him was acceptable. He’s a known entity whereas the guys the Giants gave up probably wouldn’t pan out anyway
