Devastated by injury, the Giants lineup looks like a Triple A lineup. Scored 3 runs total in a 4-game series. The good news is they somehow got a split.

On May 11, the D-Backs were 17-19. They're now 20-46. They're 2-14 in one-run games

Kevin Gausman had his first bad outing of the season the first time out after MLB said they were going to crack down on foreign substances on the ball; coincidence? I thought his performance this year might be too good to be true. I'll be watching his next outing.

Can't really draw much of any conclusion from one start IMO.

Went up to Phoenix a couple of weeks ago to watch the Giants play, and in the second game we watched, Giants were down early 4 to nothing, then scored two in the sixth and after an opening single in the 8th they hit back to back pinch hit homers to take the lead 5 to 4. The place was going crazy! All Giants fans and I felt so sorry for the Diamondbacks because they don't even have any fans when they are at home. Gotta be the only team in baseball history where that happens every game.
No one is from Arizona and everyone brings their team allegiances with them when they move here.

how do you lose 23 straight on the road?

They have the record now. The crazy thing is that the Orioles are currently on a 19-game road losing streak and can break the Dbacks record by June 28th if they continue to lose and the Dbacks win their next road game.

I wonder if Bumgarner is re-thinking that plan to ditch what he thought was a sinking ship and join the D Backs

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a guy strikeout 5 times in a game before.

...But a big three run bomb in the 13th in his 6th at bat to put the game away. Nice! scored 7 runs on 2 hits in the 13th to win another series. First game in MLB history where the NL team used the DH and the AL team did not.

I believe the Giants were also the first NL team to not use the DH in a DH game. Odd.

Still hanging on to first place by a thread despite all the injuries.
