Not just that but all 5 of his at bats were swinging strike outs. We'll only see him in a pitch hitting situation tonight.
Man, I hate the DL.

I hope the Reds and Brewers can win today. Even though I don't like the Cubs, I'd like to see the NL Central win all the series.
Reds eliminated, Cubs postponed, but I can't join you sentiment about wanting to see the Central teams advance. The Cub fans I work with are the scourge of all humanity. Hope they lose, every game they play.

We all know that Bader plays great defense and he can steal a lot of bases but he can't hit his weight. For some reason Schildt loves him by putting him in the starting lineup so much. I hope he is not in the starting lineup tonight and I hope we don't see him in a pinch hitting situation either but a pinch runner, YES. I'm a NL Central fan too except for the Cubs.

Well that sucked. Hope the Cards can pull of a win tonight.

I was hoping that we would have enough pitching to keep those explosive Padres bats quiet in a short series but that was not the case in game 2 as they brought out their war clubs against almost every pitcher we had. I like our chances with our best pitcher going tonight but then again the Padres can hit and hit with power.

This has been the dullest baseball season I can ever recall.

Dude, how many times are you going to keep repeating the same thing over and over.

We don't care.

Cubs swept, Reds swept, Brewers swept, I have my Jack Flaherty shrine going. Candles, and I even found some JoBu rum to pour over a bucket of chicken.

He has a problem with talking to himself and wanting to be seen. This is why he is at almost 100,000 posts which tells me he has nothing else to do with his life which is sad.

I hope all of this mixes well at the end of the day. Go Mr. Flaherty!

The Padres use 9 different pitchers giving up a total of only 4 hits to shut out the Cardinals 4-0 . . . . . unbelievable!

Well, it is official, the Arenado deal has been finalized.

One player, imo, that this deal helps is Carlson. Now STL can move Carlson into the 6 or7 hole taking a little pressure off of him to produce in the 2 or 3 spot.

Let's try to keep this NL Central thread more active this year, okay? Last year there were more Brewers posts here than Cardinals posts and we can't let that happen again, can we? I mean, we are a part of the proud Cardinals Nation, aren't we?

Now that the Arenado deal has been finalized I'm thinking that Schildt will have Carlson hitting in the 5 hole but we'll see. Now let's talk about our starting pitching. Who do you think will come out of spring training as our 5th starter? My best guess right now would be either Martinez or Ponce de Leon but once again we'll see.

What do you expect us Pirates fans to say? We suck again? We’re a disgrace to professional Sports’s everywhere? Well, duh.

Actually I have always liked the Pirates but I just don't understand their front office by letting quality players get away who have become stars for other teams, and especially pitchers, over the past several years.

Front office is only close executing their marching orders. Bob Nutting is a real life Rachel Phelps. He simply won’t let it happen.

given the revenue structures of MLB, there’s just too much money to be made at very little cost for him. Can’t have high-priced talent cutting into his profit margins.
