We have a double header scheduled in St. Louis against the Twins tomorrow (Tuesday). I know Carlos Martinez is our scheduled starter in game 1. Does anyone know who our scheduled starter for game 2 will be since we are running out of rested pitchers?

OMG, it appears that our starter in game 2 on Tuesday will be Ponce de Leon (0-3, 7.82 ERA). If this is the case I just hope that we can get a split with the Twins on Tuesday.

We finished the regular season with the Cubs going 5-5 but I guess that's not too bad since all 10 games were played at Wrigley.

No worries.

We helped Ponce de Leon outta a huge hand and then Dobnak literally gives you guys 4 runs.

Twins don't like to put together great stretches of baseball

Christian Yelich signed a big contract and then shit his pants. Buyer's remorse for Milwaukee?

Yeah cause 40 games will create buyers remorse.

Besides hes a got a .344 OBP even with the awful unYelich average. And his slugging % is .459. Again, manageable with the fluky average

He's fine.

I posted in an earlier thread that I was hoping for a split today after seeing the pitching matchups but honestly I thought we would win game 1 and lose game 2. Your Twins have a good record and right now it appears that 3 playoff teams will come out of the AL Central.

These wildcard spots in the playoffs are close with only a little more than a couple of weeks left.

GO REDBIRDS!

How is Wieters on any MLB roster? I know his playing time has been limited but he simply can't hit MLB pitching.

Not so much this year, but he filled in for Molina last year. 11 homers.

Forget Wieters, why is Dean on the field? !ost a ball in left field that started this meltdown.

I think our fatigue, playing too many games in too few days, with too many makeshift lineups, is what has started our meltdown. We need to man up (if we can) and right the ship in a hurry if we are going to be a playoff team.

The Cubs started the season 10-2. They’ve only played .500 ball the rest of the way. The NL Central is trash.

Our come from behind win in the second game of the double header last night might turn out to be our biggest win of the season so far to keep our playoff hopes alive because if we had lost that game the Brewers would have been tied with us for second place today in the NL Central. With three double headers scheduled this week alone I just hope our pitching will hold up to keep us in the playoff hunt. It wouldn't hurt if our bats come back alive too!

Meanwhile, Christian Yelich is hitting below 200.

Obviously, but we can't complain about going 5-5 against them this season with all 10 games played in Wrigley.
The Cardinals players almost derailed the shortened baseball season with their risky behavior earlier.

You have proof of this? This risky behavior?

I've seen all the rumors, I want proof.
