I counted 64, maybe i miscounted. 15 Sunday and 17 yesterday.

Carpenter loves taking strike three and then whine to the ump. Golden Sombrero.
You could be right. My number came mid game.
I've never really kept track, but averaging around 12 strike outs a game over a 5 game stretch seems like it would be close to a record.
Hopefully Mikolas gets going tonight.

5 games and a few years of heavy decline with no sign to that changing
5 games. Played the NL Central champs at their park for 4 games.

Freaking marathon, not a sprint. But hey, keep hand wringing.

You continue to have difficulty with reading comprehension. Must be all the CUBS hate you hold so deep in your heart. I never said anything about “one WS in over 100 years and suddenly a winning organization”. You did.

Rickets purchased the CUBS end of 2009. End of the 2011 season, they hired Theo Epstein. With “solid ownership, great office in place”, things started to change. It took 3 years to build up the farm system and along with a couple trades were ready to be consistently competitive in 2015.

Since 2015, the CUBS have finished the season higher than the Cardinals and have 1 WS…now, just say thank you to “your daddy” for tossing it underhand with this CUBS insight so you might understand. Move along now sonny.

Enjoy telling yourself that for the next 100 years of "success."

Look up the history of the Cards, both overall and the last 20 years...let me know when you can sniff their jock...I'll die waiting for the Scrubs approaching anything close to it.

NO, don't postpone because of cold weather. That sets a bad precedent.
Maybe for the players but you have to give the vendors at the ballpark a fighting chance. Those people pay for their spot on the concourse and nobody's at the park, they get screwed. It's not like they are earning 30 bucks an hour.
Telling fans who bought tickets in February that they have to show up when it's below freezing -- with their kids or grannies -- sorry, but I don't think precedent is high on my list of issues.

They could play the games in the South and since the commissioner has admitted it's been advocated, I have yet to see a real reason why he doesn't think it's a good idea.

I thought this was a fairly common conversation about domes and southern cities.

Do you want teams to only have dome stadiums if they are located up north? Seems a bit harsh to avoid chilly games for a few games up north.

No that is not the point, so let's just not bother.

5 games argument would work if all it was were a bad start, instead it's 3 years of hard decline for a soon-to-be 38 year old.

I know people love to hold onto the glory days, but come on.

I guess you missed the part where Yadi backhanded the ball in the dirt and then threw the guy out trying to steal 2nd...

Molina needs to get his bat out of the bat rack and start using it more.
As Yogi would say, He's not in a slump, he just ain't hitting....

Reds have the worst outfield in baseball. Jesse Winker is the worst outfielder in baseball. What's scary is Schebler might be even worse of an monstrosity. Trammel would not had been this terrible.

But no rage quitting in April. May on the other hand... Positivity.

Ozuna is pretty bad in the outfield for the Cardinals.

At least he can hit. Our guys so far are like 0-35.

Lol no wonder no one's in the stance. Walks, balks, and errors. How can anyone take this team seriously.

Hey, you are tied with the Cubs.

It has to suck a bit for you right now. High hopes coming in. Starting 1-3 at home is rough. I thought Kemp and Puig were great acquisitions in the small Cincy ballpark. Combined they are 3/23 at the plate.
