Wainwright was washed up three years ago. Hard to see him still starting tbh. Its just giving up games

Damn! Starting 1-3 sucks.
Hope Wainwright brings some good stuff at Pit today.
I think Wainwright will only pitch 15 games for us so I hope they are quality starts.

I agree, starting 1-3 sucks and for some reason we have struggled in Pittsburgh in recent years as well. Hopefully when we get some home cooking we will find our groove.

Its very reminiscent of the last two seasons.

I've been bashing on Mozeliak for years but he seems to be the definition of mediocrity.

Wainwright being given a starting job while Keuchel remains unsigned is....something.

His avoidance of the strike zone may seem to indicate he knows he's washed.

15 strikeouts today. Not sure how many for the season, but it's in the low 60's I believe. Averaging over 10 strikeouts per game it ugly.

Do you have a minute to talk about Joe Burrow?

Torned achilles + old. Feels bad.

I was about to say a not-so funny joke and he's the new Homer, but eh... Wainwright at least has nostalgia.

Eh... * Strugs Shoulders *

Someone has to overpay for Keuchel eventually though...

I guess you could replace Keuchel for anyone else available. But still, that didn't make much sense for a team with legit playoff hopes in a competitive division

Craig Kimbrel on the other hand... That needs to be jumped on.

You see something different every day in baseball.

Cards are really lucky to win that one

Man what a shitty way to lose, and the worst part is the front office chose not to upgrade the middle infield or bullpen and that's what cost them.

I hear you man and I've been doing the same bashing but I'll take the win today.

Wainwright put smiles on us Cardinals fans faces for many years but I think it's time that he hangs it up and hopefully he will do this soon.

I'm afraid he may just be an inning eater for the Cards this season.
