Pirates get 2 rare things last night. a huge road win and a pitcher throwing a complete game!!!
Pirates win again in Colorado 4-3.
I just want to see some improvement by seasons end.
If the Cardinals can sweep the Royals that'd put them at 63-55 with a 4-game series with the Nats to follow. Currently, 3.5 games out of the 2nd wildcard. It'd be one hell of a feat if they made the postseason. They're only 6 games back in the Central, but I'm not counting on them taking over the division. It'd be nice, but highly unlikely at this stage.
Cardinals (65-55) are now 4 games back in the Central, 1 game out of the #2 WC, and 2 GB of the #1 WC. It's getting good. Hopefully, they keep it up.
wildcard
MIL (+1)
PHI (-)
----------
STL (1)
COL (1.5)
LAD (2.5)
PIT (5)
NYM leads PHI 22-4. I'm going to go ahead and chalk that up as a Philly loss. NYM-PHI are playing a doubleheader. Hopefully, the Mets can take the 2nd as well....and of course the Cardinals extend their winning streak to 9.
MIL (68-55) +1/2
PHI (66-54)
-----
STL (66-55)
Yeah, that sucks, but they're still in decent shape. Next, is a 3-game home series with MIL.
PHI (67-54)
MIL (68-55)
-----
STL (66-56) (1.5)
If we're talking about 'hopes' then I'm more focused on the Cubs right now. Lots of baseball left. And what a HUGE series it is!
As a Cardinals fan I just have to hope that we keep winning and the Phillies and Brewers get into some losing streaks. It's exciting to be in a playoff race at the moment.

That being said, it is a big series for sure
The Brewers are going to miss the playoffs right
