They're 13-16 in one-run games...
Cardinals have won 25 one run games....until the 7th inning.
your team just released a pitcher that was signed to a 1yr $14 million dollar deal. Those are the kinds of deals the Pirates routinly make.Brock, OH YES, but please don't tell me how many one run games our Cardinals have won after the 7th inning because I'm still using words that I should not use to describe how I feel about the entire Cardinals bullpen with no member of that bullpen excluded.
Damn Brewers...they almost always do the opposite of what I think...going into the break they played Miami and Pitt, I'm thinking a good time to gain some momentum...then when they get to this part, Giants, Dodgers and D-Backs they have some room...nope, can't do that, got to get the Pirates white hot and crap themselves in Miami before that... why do I bother...why???
Right, except the Cardinals actually win stuff here and there, the Brewers suck you in and then shit the bed.I feel your pain because I'm a Cardinals fan!
Just saw Winker's out for the rest of the season, that's a tough loss. He's showing a lot of potential at the plate too (.299/.405/.431 with 49/46 BB/K and a 126 OPS+) .
Cubs have a chance to get some room in the division race with the Brewers at the Dodgers. I don't think the Pirates are a push over, but they've cooled off since their sizzling start to July. We shall see how it shakes out
Cubs have 4 games to make up...how the hell do they have a night off last night???Cubs have a chance to get some room in the division race with the Brewers at the Dodgers. Right, they're going to be playing a lot of ball in Aug/Sept, and will get less days off than their competition. If they get their guys back it shouldn't be an issue, but that's still a lot of games in the last 60 days.Cubs have 4 games to make up...how the hell do they have a night off last night???
The Cubs are favored but nothing is certain.Cubs will still likely win the division and there's a real chance the Pirates miss the playoffs.
But these moves are also about 2019, 2020 and 2021 and right now this team is set up real nicely for then. And I like this new look Huntington who is willing to go hard for improvements.
Most of it is just good luck.
