I think if the Cards lose the division and we're going to look back at that month of May when they lost 2/3 of their games.

You don't really want to get into a situation where you need to win 7 (or 8) out 10 against the Cubs and Arizona to win your division.

I think the most likely scenario is a play-in game but this could go either way.

I agree with you about that horrible May we had but it has all balanced itself out with a great April and a great run since the all star break.

I remain confident that we will win this division with three games left at home against a make shift Cubs lineup due to injuries while the Brewers will be playing their last three on the road in a place where anyone can win. Waino has been moved up to a Saturday start on normal rest where he has pitched very well at home. Flaherty, our ace in the hole, has not been scheduled yet pending what the standings will be on Sunday. IF game 163 is necessary it will be played in St. Louis. We can't ask for anymore than that.

My granddaughter got a visit from Rizzo when she was hospitalized at Lurie. I became a Rizzo fan, but not a Cubs fan. She had earlier in her life been hospitalized in Peoria. When the Cardinals Wintrr Caravan was in town, she was visited by 3 players. I don't know their names but she still wears the jersey they gave her. I forgive her for her fandom.

Unsure. Initial reports is that he will get an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. No updates since this morning.

Will be a major blow as he was really starting to rake the last 2-3 weeks.

Schildt announced late tonight that Flaherty will be our starter on Sunday.

I certainly don't like the fact that we will be limping into the playoffs but it is what it is.
