FOUR......SWEPT THE CUBS IN WRIGLEY!!!!!!!!!!
A buddy of mine thinks he could go to San Fran. I feel this is it for him in Chicago. I even heard that Theo might high tail it out of town, also.
Cardiac Cards
I think San Diego would be the most attractive team for any manager without a job.
That team is loaded with great young talent

Hats off to Milwaukee for their stellar play after losing Yelich.
4 game sweep at Wrigley. Gotta love that.
Cub fans are going to be so down today I might not rub it in. I work with about 5-6 Cubs fans.

I actually think the Cubs we're fairly unlucky in that last game but I'll take it.
Please fire your manager and GM. Get them out of the NL C.
The Cubs might not have to fire their manager and GM because they might check out on their own after that debacle.
We had better not get too cocky though because when the Cubs arrive in St. Louis for the last three games of the season they will be playing loose with no pressure on them and they would like nothing better than to play spoilers against their biggest rival in trying to keep us from winning the NL Central. Let's hope it doesn't come down to this.
I don't see my post as cocky. Cubs have the highest run differential in the division IIRC and they ran out of gas this year because of Kimbrel. Thats baseball. It humbles everyone at some point. For all we know Kimbrel will come back and be lights out but he did cost them the division this year. The Cubs might not have to fire their manager and GM because they might check out on their own after that debacle.

I am (cough) rooting for the Cubs (choke, puke) for that weekend series

Right now things are almost exactly like they were last year except the Cardinals and Cubs have switched positions with the Brewers waiting to take advantage if the leader slips up. Cards have to be in 'playoff' mode from here on out.
Clayton my friend, I wasn't implying at all that your post was cocky because it wasn't.
I was speaking to all Cardinals fans in general about not taking the Cubs lightly when they come to St. Louis for the last series of the season because there will be some Cardinals fans who think after what we just did to them in Wrigley they will be a piece of cake at home. You are absolutely correct, we have to be in 'playoff' mode until the magic number says we don't. I also hope that Flaherty will not have to pitch on Saturday so that he will be well rested for Game 1 at the Braves in the playoffs.
