I'm somewhat surprised to see all the criticism of Harvin's play on the field. He's a headcase, with attitude and health problems. But when he's healthy, he's an impact player as a return man and a receiver. He's been inconsistent, but prior to the injury in 2012, he was near the league lead in receiving yards. His play may not be up to the contract he got, but it's not like he was a bad player by any means. Not to mention the only year he had decent QB play was his rookie season.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 10m Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said WR Percy Harvin still has not been cleared for Sunday's NFC Championship game.

Hard to see him playing in the game. Even if he plays, how much value can he bring in the receiving game? It's not like he already knows the plays/has chemistry with Wilson. He's barely practiced all year. And as far as returns, Tate has been one of the better punt returners in the league this season.

You know, this is why I can't understand why they hurried to extend him. I understand that you don't want to send a bunch of draft picks and then have nothing later. Just seems that this hurry up extension is more of a quarterbacks thing. You don't need to send a message to the rest of the organization that this is your guy for a receiver. But I do know that Harvin is a distraction regarding contracts because of his history. Didn't he hold out with Minnesota or am I mistaken? I think there definitely was an issue with the contract.

Not saying this is the same thing, different injuries, but Carolina sandbagged Steve Smith like crazy. Up until game time he was hobbled if he was going to play at all, and then he played just fine in the game.

He did look hobbled a bit in the second half like maybe his pain killers wore off or he re-injured himself. They showed 4 or 5 clips of him running routes in the second half and he appeared to be a bit gimpy. Sure didn't look it on that touchdown throw though.

I took a picture of my frozen beer at Lambeau on a bench a couple weeks ago...I think it will be able to cover Harvin easily this weekend.

If he were faking, it would have been the other way around. Limo after the TD to dramatize the TD and then get caught running fine. I know you didn't say he faked but that's what came to mind when you pointed those timings out.

You beat me to it. I was going to say that I hope we don't try covering him when he's out. Yours is better. :tear: I'm losing something I never had! :pissed:
