If we dump Gagne for cap space, Zherdev is as close as replacement as they will get for cheap (hopefully cheap).

He played on columbus? Playoffs exists there?

Great signing, but like you said..IF it is cheap. I can't imagine overpaying for someone like this, BUT I am liking it already.

that is actually not a bad number after i looked up his numbers. about 50 or 60 points per year on teams who have not been good offensively.

hmmm...can't judge this with out at least some speculation on numbers...i'm always skeptical of the returning guys, with their work ethic and what not. not a bad replacement for gagne i suppose, but still, i dont see the point if the salary is that high (speculated 4mil). still though, who is gagne gonna go to then?

gagne could go to any team for a young winger. the young winger could go to the giroux line and zherdev could replace gagne. good deal if it works.
