52

The number of goals Teemu Selanne scored in 1997-98 to lead the league with Kariya out for most of the season.

Have to mention that 52 is the age when Gordie Howe played his last season in the NHL.. 80 games with Hartford Whalers in 1979/80, 15 goals, 26 assists.

Nice one. 70 is also Most assists by a left wing, one season: Joe Juneau, (1992–93)

71 the year One Ken Dryden made his debut in the NHL leading the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup, Which also prevented the Bruins from winning what would have led to a franchise record 3 Cups in a row (70,71,72) It's also the 1st year Phil Esposito had his 1st of 3 78 goal seasons, his career high for a season.

72 career playoff goal total for that rat bastard Esa Tikkanen, placing him 14th on the all time list. It's also technically Ken Dryden's rookie season in which he won the Calder Trophy and making him the 1st and only NHL player to win the Conn Smyth trophy before winning the Calder

1973 is the year Markus Näslund and Peter Forsberg were born. 73 is also the most shorthanded goals scored in a career.. guess who.. Wayne Gretzky

75 The 74/75 season was the last season Bobby Orr played a full season, even half a season. It's also the year the Philadelphia Flyers become 1st expansion team to win 2 and also back to back Stanley cups. Phil Esposito was also trade to the NY Rangers 12 games into the 75/76 season

Correction, Espo had only 1 76 goal season. Was looking in wrong column
