Sorry but the Caps are not 13 and the Pens are not 2. I think if you swapped them it would make a ton more sense.
I think Scott Cullen is possessed (and obsessed) regarding possession.
Worth mentioning Columbus allowed a lot of goals in the preseason. Only 1 fewer than the Leafs. They were the lowest-ranked team by goals allowed to have a positive goal differential.Jackets at 21? Yes. Keep looking past them.
That could explain the Jackets low rankings, they should have held onto the puck longer...
Then Cullen would be happy.

He cured my leprosy...hey wait a minute.....McJesus
You need to make that argument without using completely meaningless preseason stats. I stopped reading when I saw them.

I think I know why we haven't seen eloco lately, he's too busy planning the parade...
Power Rankings: Caps rule, but pack is closing

Crap rankings of a crap website.

The Flames had their seven-game winning streak snapped in a 3-2 loss to the Blues on Saturday.
And because of that dropped 14 spots?
Caps 2, Pens 15. I was awfully close to my October guess.....
They have the Caps at #1 and the Pens at #30 today. That's absurd (even though it is somewhat delightful). I don't think the Pens are a playoff team this season, but to say they are worse than Columbus, Toronto, or Anaheim right now is absolute poppycock.
Calgary was ranked #22, #9, and #23 over the last three weeks. Ridiculous swings.
They just have no consistency to these things. The rankings should be a more telling story of the teams relative to when things return to the norm. Instead they swing wildly based on the most recent data. Let's just let Skip Bayless start picking them and call them what they are.
Otherwise, how do you put Florida at #3 and Montreal at #17? Pretty sure somebody got drunk and just started hitting buttons.
We need Comeds. Did he upgrade the ORM to Windows 10?
