Hard hit from Despres. It's a tough call when a guy is low to the ice/reaching for the puck and head contact is made.

Just tuned in about 10 minutes ago but letting that shitbag Letang crosscheck a midget in the ribs, then letting Despres launch himself at Smid's head without penalty isn't what I'd call "tight".

9 times out of ten that hit is called in today's NHL. In fact lesser hits are generally penalized.

I fully expected one. Probably should've been one (close to leaving feet?), but not because of head contact.

This hit on Smid looked worse than it is, IMO. Ladi got real small before the hit, and was practically waist high when Despres hit him. I don't think it's suspension worthy.


I thought Seidenberg deserved one for last night against Toews, so who knows
