I bet the opener will be Patriots vs. Broncos... Just my two cents.

Not unless the Superbowl champion Patriots want to give up their home opener. New England is scheduled to play the Broncos in Denver this year, not Foxboro. Thankfully...

Pretty interesting podcast from last year about all the variables and factors figured into the schedule...

I don't know about that. After the Deflategate scandal, You might see the highest watched game ever!
New England ahead 35-0 at the half and fully inflated football shoved up Pagano's ass by Bill at halftime.....

Buffalo, Pittsburgh or Philly IMO for the season kickoff In NE. The home slate for the Patriots is pretty tame otherwise.

i can't wait to find out when the pats are going to score 70 on the colts ( pats fans ) . mathis , cole and newsome will shut your ass up . luck will have an o line and will pick your ass apart because he will have a running game gore and ballard .so keep dreaming deflaters . who let the air out ? who who who ? makes me wonder if the nfl is going to wait until after the draft for the deflaters ?

Even without the Deflategate scandal, I still think it will be one of the highest watched and highest rated openers of all time because the numbers of viewers have trended upwards over the last few years. Also, non-sports fans wont have as many things to watch because it is a weeknight.

Very very unlikely. Only once do I remember the Super Bowl team not having their first game be a home game and that was Baltimore because the Orioles refused to give up a home game on the same day. Otherwise the Super Bowl winning team usually gets a prime time home game. So again it comes down to a very select few considering the easiness of teh Patriots schedule. Saw something today that said the Patriots only play 4 teams that made the playoffs last year which is the fewest for a Super Bowl winning team since they went to a 12-team playoff schedule.

So again it pretty much comes down to Bills (got to love the BB/Ryan match up), Philly (this would be my favorite as Chip Kelly has either entered the genius level of off season work or completely lost it and needs to go to the loony bin), or Pittsburgh (only team on the home schedule that actually made the playoffs)

My guess would be Philly.

One of the radio/podcast shows I listen to had one of the NFL's schedule creators on his show from yesterday. It's a GREAT listen if you're AT ALL interested about what goes into making the entire schedule.

It's show 225 - guest name Michael North, from April 20th.

Edited to add: the interview was from last year, but the podcast was released yesterday replaying the interview; still worth a listen (even a second time)
