How do you game plan for someone who just runs great routes and has QB's who hit him in the numbers on every pass? If I was starting a team and could choose prime Rice or prime Moss I choose Moss 100 times out of 100

I hear you I just don't agree... I'd say Moss came up in the prime time of my football fandom... I can really appreciate what he did and could do... I saw him do amazing things, and he looked unstoppable at times (most times)... However taking Randy Moss over Jerry Rice is like taking Charles Barkley over MJ... The understanding of the game, is nowhere close... Here's the question... If you swapped height and physical gifts, but kept the mentality and understanding of the game would they be as good...? Randy jumped over people, made unbelievable plays... Rice made the right plays and made every play... If we were starting teams and I could have Moss or Rice in there primes I'd take the one who'd get me the most rings... By the way, you talk about Montana to Rice (which I have by the way), but who lined up across from Rice... I like John Taylor, but when Moss did most of his damage it as with Chris Carter on 1 side and Jake Reed on the other with Moss at the slot, out jumping NCBs and Safties...

It's nothing like that at all. If you look at it in terms of picking the most amazing player Moss and MJ are the picks. Your thinking on that makes no sense to me.

It's a team game, Rice didn't win Super Bowls by himself he had pretty good teams around him no?

You cant say Moss had Carter and ignore Rice had Montana, Young, Garcia and Gannon. The QB has much more influence on a receivers numbers than another receiver on his team.

It's okay, if you want to do a drop let me know ASAP so I can make the change.

Barkley was an absolute physical anomaly... No way he should have been able to do what he could do... The same can be said about Moss IMO... While MJ was amazingly athletic as well, it was his approach to the game and execution of that approach that separated him from others IMO... Same can be said about Rice IMO... I would have said Magic but he was 6'9" and had a clear physical advantage to other PGs... Maybe Shaq vs MJ is a better analogy...

It is a team game... Chris Carter, Randall McDaniel, John Randle all say the HOF says hi...

A QB has influence yes... But the defense has influence as well... If you're facing Jerry Rice, John Taylor and Brent Jones where is your defense going to cheat...? Now if you face Chris Carter, Jake Reed (who held the record for for most receptions as a dou with 207, and the first dou to have 1000+ yards a piece 4 straight years) and a young Randy Moss, where would you cheat...?

Moss played 14 years... Had over 100 catches twice, lead the league in catches 0, lead the league in yards 0, lead the league in yards per game 0, lead the league in TDs 5x... Ranking yards 3rd, receptions 11, TDs 2...

Rice played 20 years... Had over 100 catches 4x, lead the league in catches 2x, lead the league in yards 6x, lead the league in yards per game 6x, lead the league in TDs 6x... Ranking yards 1, receptions 1, TDs 1...

So MJ = Rice, Shaq = Moss...

I just knew Kennedy would get picked, so i did' to for him, when he wasn't I wanted to adjust to see if I could get him.

Yeah he's good to go... I know Gold gave you some slack for Greene but I think he played a 4-3 DE... However you picked up Simmons who is not much of a down grade and a low price... I like Hasty too... Getting Kennedy was a huge upgrade though...

That was exactly my thinking. Had I'd known no one would go for him, I would have put him on my draft board, I just thought he' die too expensive with how I drafted oline.

So MJ = Rice, Shaq = Moss...

The first paragraph makes no sense to me so i'll skip it.

So you name 3 players in the hall from the Vikes and that somehow proves a point?

Defense has influence, agreed... MOSS BEAT TRIPLE TEAMS!!!

Let's not forget coaches have a little influence as well, ummm Bill Walsh >>> Denny Green

Your analogies makes zero sense so this is where I get off the train.

Not sure what you're not understanding so here's an analogy using your reasoning... Shaq is not the greatest ever, there's a reason why and that's the same reason why Moss is not...
