I would love to get our hands on Hunter. He seems to be just what we need in the way of a deep threat, the fact that he is 6'4" and can just doesn't hurt either.

Better options would be available for us in the first for us to invest such a high pick on a one dimensional player.

Lol Patterson has about the same chance of being a 2nd round pick as we do of landing Hunter in the 3rd.

Patterson's entire game was based on people thinking he was one of the fastest players in NCAA. He's fast, but he's not THAT fast. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see his 3cone & shuttle times, but I wouldn't take him at 31 now. Shorter than advertized, short arms, not amazing jump numbers, just good speed, not great college production...

Maybe he doesn't have all-world speed & Amerson is just slower than advertized as well (because people keep citing that Patterson burned him for a TD on a run).

Dude I've seen this guy in person and live on tv and he is fast, and strong. The guy is a true talent, that is all there is to it. At the Pro Day I'm sure both he and Hunter will run again and both run better. They are both football fast.

He was about an inch short than advertised but the difference between 6'2 and 6'3 along with his arm measurements don't matter to me when I see how he plays that game. He plays like he's 6'4", I'm not at all worried about his height or measurements. Most players would kill to have the type of day that he had today.

I still think Patterson goes in the first. We can't put too much into one combine performance. Performance in things like the 40 go in cycles. Some days you'll run it slower, some days faster.

People were talking about Tyler Bray like he was one of the slowest QBs to ever be in the draft. 5 flat isn't that bad.

Ironically, I was being killed a few years ago for saying Ryan Mallett was one of the slowest QBs I've ever seen, and he ran slower than Tom Brady did (if memory serves).

Bray is obscenely under-valued at this point. People are going to be kicking themselves for not drafting him. He really isn't that far behind the guys who will be 1st round picks or high 2nd rounders at this point, and he has more potential than they do.

Don't be fooled by pro' day. Pro' day is utter B.S.

I think he will too, but I think it'll be a reach. I wouldn't take him in the first. Patterson is a great example of why the combine is extremely important.

I don't really think that his combine performance hurt him at all. He posted very good numbers in every event. Everyone already knew he was athletic and a game breaker. I think what teams should be more worried about is his route running and his hands. He doesn't seem to catch the ball all that smoothly, kind of like VD. We all knew he was athletic though. I still think he is drafted by the Rams in the 1st.

So we have the Bench press to look foward to for the DL & LBs today.

Here's hoping Hankins doesn't impress. He needs to be the 31st pick of the draft.

I'm not fooled by any of it. I already know what this kid can do, what I'm saying is that if you are looking only at measurables, he will have another chance at those. He has proven that he can be a game breaker and as the potential to be a pro bowl WR.

What I would worry about is his hands and route running.

How the crap did TJ Moe get invited ot the combine? He's a terrible athlete and had a terrible season. I don't see any chance he gets drafted.

26 reps on the bench was impressive, but his 40 time is very slow. Just stick a LB on him in coverage.

26 bench reps but everything else is terrible. That guy has no chance, he only had 300 receiving yards this year I believe.

I'm not just looking at his measureables. How 'bout the fact that he only had 778 receiving yards this season with a future NFL QB throwing him the ball?

You conceded that he catches the ball awkwardly, and I was concerned about that too (which is why I was asking someone about that in the college football thread a while back). High 2nd round isn't an insult to a guy when there are a crap load of great WRs in the NFL already.

By the way, we should probably take this kind of stuff to the NFL draft / college football thread if it goes too long so this thread doesn't get too convoluted.

Convert him to FB. Maybe he can be the next Tom Rathman.

Stepfan Taylor ran 4.76. Not good for him, very good for whoever drafts him because the 40 doesn't matter all that much for RBs.

The guy had one season with the team. He walked into an established team with established weapons and is expected to learn the offense, gain chemistry, share balls with another 1st rounder and still get over 1,000 yards? That is asking an awful lot man. It isn't all about stats man, just look at him on the field, look at how he moves, look at his explosion. This is what GM's look at, that is why he is going to be a 1st rounder. Hell look at Jay Cutler's college stats, Julio Jones didn't even break 1,000 yards until his final year in college, same goes with AJ Green and Calvin Johnson. But the world knew that these guys were big time guys. This is how I feel about Patterson, the guy is a great athlete, he's big and powerful and he is a game breaker. He is a little raw still and needs some polishing but I think he'll be a star

He does catch it awkwardly, even watching him today in drills I noticed that it just didn't seem natural, it reminded me so much of VD when he first came into the league. Also I'd like to see him improve on his route running.

I didn't realize Aaron Dobson had such small hands (just over 9 inches). I would've guessed they were huge looking at the guy (and looking at that insane catch he made in the left corner of the end zone).

DeAndre Hopkins is looking like a realistic option now

I was very wrong about Austins speed (predicted a 4.48)

The kid can burn. In the right offense he could be dangerous, Percy Harvin type.
