George Winn ran a 4.69 but he probably ran about 45 yards instead of 40. That guy was zig zagging the whole way.

So how is Patterson a better athlete than Hunter? Hunter beat him in everything except the 40, in which he timed .02 worse.

Also a 4.34 for Austin? Jesus. One of the most explosive athletes I've ever seen on the field in terms of change of pace/direction. But I always thought he was more quick twitch than straight line, so that 40 time is GREAT for him.

It's too bad now though that he won't come near 31.

Justin Hunter's measurements are great. Height, arms length, hand size all great. I hope he doens't run too well because he's been one of my favourite 2nd round prospects.

Lol 2nd round? Keep dreaming. Top-10 pick.

But he dropped about 14 bleeping pounds to do it. Why it's necessary to follow the weigh-ins. I strongly, strongly suspect he'll bulk back up to about 207-210.

There's no need for him to go back up to that weight.

His greatest attributes are his vision and agility. His career is going to be entirely dictated by the team that drafts him. If they have a great O-Line, he'll have a pretty productive NFL career. If he gets picked by a team where he is getting hit before he has a chance to build any momentum, he won't do anything.

That's why I am hoping he goes to you guys. Taking in the 2nd or 3rd to be a long-term replacement for Gore who is teamed with LMJ would be the perfect situation for him.

He's actually great getting YAC.

Man, I'd be drooling if either Hopkins or Austin fell to the 49ers in the first. Add Sheldon Richardson to that as well.

When he is running, yes. His signature move is the spin move, which is as good as anybody's in the NFL. He is also great at using a stiff arm to get rid of players who dive at him. The problem is that neither of these are particularly effective if he isn't moving quickly. He's good at using his blockers to shield him, and he is great at maneuvering through holes.

All of these are great skills which have made him the best RB in college football the last two and a half years. The problem is that none of these moves mean anything if he is hit when he isn't running.

The best analogy that I can think of is Cedric Benson, but Montee has a much higher football IQ and a little less strength.

Oh I'm not knocking him, I was just making an observation about him running the 40. I actually think he is a fine RB, although in a great system for RB's he is still a very good one IMO.

That was HELL recording all these. NFLN didn't show the 10 times so I had to do it off their online coverage and had a terrible connection.

I think Ball is a lot like Gore. Not a great athlete, but runs with quick feet, balance, and vision to consistently get positive yards. Guys that have innate RB skills like that don't need a great OL to produce.

Taylor and Lacy are in that department as well.

Just HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, very bad coverage this year by the NFL. They should be ashamed of themselves, both online and on NFL Network. I could go on for an hour but I won't.
