Austin is definitely worth the 31st pick IMO. Hunter running a four/four is very good for him IMO. I just don't think he's worth a first round pick.

But he dropped about 14 bleeping pounds to do it. Why it's necessary to follow the weigh-ins. I strongly, strongly suspect he'll bulk back up to about 207-210.

Gregg Rosenthal:

Ziggy Ansah, Bakervious Mingo, Dion Jordon, Alex Okafor, Bjoenr Werner, Damontre Moore among the DEs asked to do LB drills

Damnn! Good info right there. That I did not know. So his forty is very deceiving. I never really liked him (lacks aggressiveness). Anyone who drafts him in the first round will eventually be disappointed if they're looking for that potent #1 receiver on their roster.

NFL Network is a joke. Doing the same thing they've been doing to every part of the game - tailoring their coverage to the common, every day joke fans. Their combine coverage every year gets worse. They're chosing to RE-AIR the 40 times that were already run by the QBs/WRs an hour or so ago over WR on-field drills.

Thankfully, one can go to NFL.com and watch the live stuff. Not real worried because I'll go back and watch and re-watch what I want down the road. It just ticks me off what's going on with the NFL anymore. I hate tailoring sports to common, every day, run of the mill fans.

Based on what I have seen of them this past year, all of those guys are agile enough to move to that lb spot - they can play well enough in space. Werner the stiffest of the group has played a little stand up LB at FSU.

Also, Mike Mayock has fallen down a few notches on the quality ladder for draft analysts ever since he expanded his role to calling Notre Dame games and other smaller projects. It's obvious he's not as sharp and on point as he used to be when he focused solely on the draft. That's sad because he used to be in the discussion for best draft analyst.

Do they plan on airing the actual drills at a later time? Today or tomorrow?

I've noticed that as well last year, but it was just simple errors. No draft analyst will score :10: on any given year. Like you saying though he has made some bonehead assessment and comments lately. I still think he is the best in the business though, at least the most consistent.

Once the 40s and on-field stuff is completed from the QBs, WRs, and RBs, they will just re-start the coverage from the top of the morning and replay it until 7 p.m. ET (or later) tonight. Then, throughout the month of March they'll continue to replay each day's coverage over and over and over again.

I'm watching the QBs today, so I wanted to see if they had any footage of the 2005 combine and I found this.

Alex Smith on his experience at the Combine and the Combine in general, a little after he did it:

ha, he looks like a cast member on 90210

Several scouts Mayock talked to had Goodwin at 4.19 in hand timing this morning. Of course NFL Network's official times are electronic. Teams will get all hand, electronic, and any coach/scout times, though.

Gil Brandt:

For the record, I had Marquise Goodwin at 4.17 and 4.19 in the 40 at #NFLCombine. It didn't seem like he was running hard. So effortless.

Now this would change what I said earlier:

Charles Davis: Vols WR Justin Hunter's agent tells me he put ON 16 lbs, not cut weight pre-Combine as I said on air. UT media guide listed Hunter 200 lbs.

I Like some of the reverse plays. Could we have a little competition on the team between a Texas tech guy and a Texas guy?? I'd still prefer drafting a DL in the 1st, though.

He still looked thin, but I thought his arms/legs looked like he had filled out compared to what I saw from him last season. Who knows, though. So that would mean he was around 180 lbs last year, at 6'4.

Also, I've seen a bunch of people grumbling (here and on Twitter) about NFL Network re-airing the first set of WR runs. I was under the impression they were having technical difficulties, no?

Goodwin won't be a 1st round pick, though. If that's what you were implying.
