Cooper's been my 2nd favourite OL this seaosn; he plays smart, disciplined & fierce football. And he's athletic. Him doing C drills makes my heart sing. Too bad he won't be there at 31.
Justin Hunter's measurements are great. Height, arms length, hand size all great. I hope he doens't run too well because he's been one of my favourite 2nd round prospects.
I hope Keenan Allen drops pretty far for not running. 10' hands are great for him. He's not super fast, but he has geat ball skills & catches everything. He's one of those kinds of players like Tony Gonzales who is just a pain in the ass to cover.
Cordarrelle Patterson w/ disappointing height & arm length #'s. He's going to have to show that legendary speed to justify his top 15 talk. It can't be just good; he'll have to run close to 4.3 & have great agility #'s even if he wants to be taken that high.
Tyler Eifert VS Zach Ertz was going the way of Eifert in the measurements, and now it looks like Eifert is winning round 2 w/ the workouts. Who wants to come over to my side? Eifert is the better TE prospect.
I'm starting to think Barkevious Mingo looks like Manny Lawson 2.0; I've thought Montgomery was the better prospect all season.
I loved Lane Johnson's play this season, but I didn't know he had super-human speed too. With that kind of tape, arm length & speed, he could push Luke Joeckel & Warmack to be the #1 OL taken.
NOTE: I see a number of sites that don't have the correct numbers for the broad jump for some reason. Be careful what site you look at for the time being.
I'm still taking passengers for the Tyler Eifert bangwagon. All I wanna know is... who's coming with me? (I'll spare you the Tom Cruz video since this is the combine thread).
By the way (randumb): Margus Hunt is 6'8 but only has 33 5/8 arms? That's not gonna help him.
What about stoneburner from tOSU? Didnt see a bunch of throws his way, but he seemed to always be targeted in the redzone. Didn't see the TE drills, so just goin off of numbers, but his numbers looked good.
Well, first WR 40 of the day was run by Tavon Austin and he unofficially ran 4.25 (1.45 10), but I guarantee you it'll come out slower when NFLN has THEIR official time. Over 4.3 for sure in my estimation.
2nd group of WRs haven't run yet. A number of these guys had some big discrepancies between their two times. A little surprised they weren't immediately asked to run a 3rd time after everybody ran two. Could still come I suppose but usually it's right after they finish the group.
Also, one of my favorite players in DeAndre Hopkins had a noticeable stumble/hitch on his 2nd time but wasn't stopped for some reason. Turned out that he ran a pair of 4.5 flats, but I think his 2nd time could have been faster without that. Something to remember.
Tavon Austin topped out at 24.2 MPH. I know I guaranteed his official time would definitely wind up being slower than his hand time, but that's still flyin'.
