This move for the Chiefs doesn't move the needle a ton for me. He has been consistently injured (has a partially torn MCL right now that he is playing through) and hasn't been the same player that he used to be. I think he will be a fine WR but Hopkins at this point in his career is more name than production. He isn't terrible but the trades of Cooper and Adams are players that would actually worry me to have to match up against.
Agree, but a good signing for a team who needed a WR. 4th or 5th and half the salary, yep good pick up.

Cooper Kupp is supposedly being shopped. KC can't afford him.

Teams rumored to be offering enough to hold the Rams attention are the Vikings, Lions and Bills.

Put him on the Bills and they suddenly become a favorite in SB talk.

I'd rather see The Bills win one than KC 3 peat...

Bills are a NY team. That means they are automatically a favorite in SB talk.

Does it really count if they are not leaving the Cleveland market?
It does to Cleveland. They lost the team once because of bad ownership and piss poor management decision making. The only reason that it was given a second chance at a franchise is because Cleveland was an old NFL team before the NFL/AFL merger in 1970. Bigger football markets were turned away.

For some reason the NFL has continually turned its nose up at Birmingham, Alabama. Yet every minor league team ever placed in that city has drawn 80,000 fans to every game, regardless of the league. The NFL keep drooling about Europe but can't stick a team over there because of the time difference and drag on players who for a total of anywhere between 12 and 17 hours round trip. The other problem is that only two countries really want teams, England and Germany. Both want two.

Why even allow Cleveland to move to Brook Park? Is there a stadium already built? Is the league (owners) going to take a chance and finance one in Brook Park? Will they change their name to the Brook Park Trouts or Pikers?

Contenders are pissed off this morning at the pretenders, according to a guy on Sirius Sports Reports.

What seemed to be the beginning of several trades that would have been completed on Friday night, have been shut down by the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns. Suddenly as if by some magic wand that was waved, all of them have decided to wait until Sunday or Monday after they play games this weekend. A couple of teams (Pittsburgh??Minnesota??) Have asked the league to find out what happened.

Commentator made a couple of good points. First the trade deadline does not end until 4:00 pm on November 5. He laughed and said that the contenders are nervous about several things, including a possible season altering loss, the possibility of another team suffering a player loss and upping the cost of attaining a new player and of course the player that they want possibly getting hurt and sending them scurrying somewhere else.
Then he said that a player involved in any trade could have a spectacular game and suddenly his fifth or sixth round value will be catapulted to third or fourth and other tems will certainly be calling on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Then he singled out every team that will be selling and said that the Browns supposedly are offering two DEs.

He said that the Patriots are offering any player with an expiring contract (J. Jones for one). He said that not every player previously mentioned as trade bait are actually bait, but could be a piece that will net both teams exactly what they need to finish the season in a better position than both or more are at this time. Then he ended his Patriots portion by saying, "Don't be surprised if the Patriots pill off a huge three way deal that nets them a player and a pile of later round draft picks." What does this guy know???

I do know the Steelers are ticked right now. They had a deal in place for Christian Kirk. All he had to do was make it through this past game and he would be a Steeler. He then broke his collar bone and is on IR for the rest of the season. So yes teams would rather get deals done now with the information they have rather than wait a week and have a wide range of things change whether a deal can get done or not. Sounds like Browns have been the team getting the most calls as they do have a very talented roster that was playoff caliber last year. They think the lack of success this year falls on Watson rather than those players falling off a cliff but Cleveland also knows this and after that win on Sunday they upped their price on some players.

I would still bet a bunch of deals get done over the next 48-hours.

Actually I'm in favor of this. Make contenders pay more. Tired of the rich getting richer.

Not sure of the Browns contract statuses for next season. Gutsy call for the GM to start dumping talent if it's not for cap relief or anticipated big contracts due next year? They'll have a high draft position next year more then likely. There not a bad squad just having a bad year. Coaching?

Welcome back CD, nice to have a different set of eyes again.

With all of the teams that "need" players, the sellers can be a bit sticky about what they sell a player for. Patriots gave away Uche, but then again, he's not Judon on the edge. There's alwaysna sense that a bunch of deals will get done but the buyers are always penny pinching and from all of the rumbling, they may have to cough up more that they anticipated. Teams looking for a fourth might have to settle for a 2025 fifth and a 2026 sixth or seventh. Buyers have to be very careful that theydon't walk away to quickly or appear too desperate.

Steelers are the perfect example. Lost Kirk and whoever they turn to, if they do, is going to be looking for at least the same or possibly more. No question. It's going to be a very interesting week.

Thanks. Life has been a bit crazy so I've been a bit more hit and miss with football stuff than I would like. Anyway I would agree both sides are digging in and waiting until the last minute to see if they can make the other side blink. NFL teams have used this tactic in a lot of things over the years and sometimes it works and sometimes it makes them look silly. I think of when Elvis Dumervil with the Broncos they wanted to lower his cap hit and his side dug in until the last possible minute. Finally, they agreed to the Broncos demands but the paperwork all signed and dated couldn't get sent to the league office in time because a fax machine jammed on Dumervil's team. He ended up cut instead of back with the Broncos.

As for deals I'm going to say there are still 5-6 more deals that get done. 15 deals got done last year And right now we are sitting at I think about 9 deals done this year. Some of those deals this year have been more because players demanding trades rather than NFL teams wanting to trade so could be even more depending who wins today.
