NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield have agreed to three-year, $100 million contract.
According to Rapoport, Mayfield’s deal includes $50 million in guaranteed money, and he can earn as much as $115 million over the next three years. The former No. 1 overall pick joined the Buccaneers on a one-year prove-it deal last offseason and wound up throwing for 4,044-28-10 while leading the Bucs to a 9-8 record and a postseason berth. In the NFC Wild Card game against the Eagles, Mayfield threw for 337 yards and three touchdowns to down the Eagles and went for another 349-3-2 in the divisional round loss to the Lions. With Mayfield and Mike Evans now back in the mix, the Bucs will look to add to their roster and defend their NFC South title for the third-consecutive season.

Told you no one was paying him.

As he embarks on his new career in the steele city, I'm coining his new nickname.

I don't know. When I watched him last year he looked the same as ever. It as though what used to work just didn't. But why? Could it be Seattle had a magical formula they managed to lose?

I agree. In 15 games he had over 3000 yards 26 TD’s and 8 interceptions

Those aren’t bad numbers at all. Maybe he’s a diva…attitude…likability issues…

Oh, I agree. Said so much in a different thread. He has lost some of his scrambling ability which was his saving grace in Seattle.

Good Morning Football has been going over a bunch of things and one is, Which Teams have been hurt by the signings so far?
Consensus is that the Miami Dolphins have suffered worse than any team. So far, they've lost nine players from their 2023 roster and six were defensive starters. They're confused by the Jets moves and not impressed by the Bills moves. On the other hand, the Patriots are getting Kudos for Double O Tackles and believe that those two moves will completely change how the offense operates.

We knew Miami was in it to win. I and others said this crash was coming. You can't spend all that $ and collect all those draft picks whose contracts all come due at the same time. Dolphins soon back to flounering.
