We are all close in age here. I’m sure all of us wore the old school basketball shorts and a fishnet half shirt. Wrist and sweat head bands. Knee high socks with blue and red or blue and yellow stripes.
No head band for me...

Edit: also, no half shirt. Fishnet tank top though.

BILL "TOLD" Blank (Falcon's owner) that he could not work with his GM/personnel guy and WOULD NOT work with Falcon's CEO Rich McKay

Reports are that BB said no to a Seahawks interview but has had more than one phone conversation with the Commanders' owner. Whatever that means............................

NFLTradeRumors.com is reporting that Aaron Rodgers is trying to get Devante Adams to demand a trade. Since signing Rogers the Jets have continually tried to get the Raiders to trade Adams to them unsuccessfully. Adams has one year left on his contractand the Raiders are trying like hell to rebuild a winning team.

Here's a question. Since Rogers is player on the Jets and the Jets have been trying (multiple time) to get Adams, could this be considered tampering? Is Salah or Woody telling AR to recruit Adams and cause a problem for the Raiders? Would Adams asking the Raiders for a trade decrease his value?

We all know that Roger Goodell was the Jets lawyer before becoming the NFL Commissioner and that he's an open Jets fan. Think the NFL will investigate? You can bet your ass he'd be investigating if Zappe or Mac were talking to J. Meyers and asking him to request a trade.

Teams that were up against the cap are now trying to sign players that they thought they might have to cut. Others are looking to trade guys that have big contracts.

Dolphins are scrambling. They're trying to deal Xavier Howard and his 5 year/$90M contract. AAV is $18M a year. Most teams are saying "No thanks".
Why give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick and assume that contract. Thing is this. He won't be signing anything under $20M a year.

For all of you who think that a $30M bump in the cap isn't going to affect player salaries, you might want to look again. WRs are pushing teams and some of them will be looking to get every bit of that $30M extra cap space.

Chris Godwin earns $20 million annually. D.K. Metcalf earns $24 million a year. Mike Evans’ peer from the 2014 draft, Davante Adams, earns $28 million per year from the Raiders. Tyreek Hill breaks the receiver bank at $30 million.

Xavier holland has not been the player they signed at $90million. Injuries etc have held him back. I criticized the contract when signed but the rebuttal was he would never finish it.

I think that they are going to be forced to cut him and he'll be shocked that no one wanted to pick him up for $18M a year. Then the Jets will sign him for 4/$84M and we'll all be shocked.

First time in a long time NE doesn't get any comp picks. They should get one next year for the Mayo minority hire. SF and LAR clean up with 5 picks each. Screenshot_20240309_075957_Samsung Internet.jpg

Steelers releasing Allen Robinson. Didn't have a great year last season but Pitt was as bad as NE in offense last season. His numbers have declined over the past three years but would he make a nice #3? Probably can't command much on the open market. Good blocker and has averaged 10+ yards per catch over his career. Or would he be another washed up vet, NE brings in?
