QUESTION:::

Tyreek got a high ankle sprain last week against the Chargers.

Have any of you seen the tackle? Would it be considered a hip tackle?

Just asking. If not, is it close??

I'd really like to hear what you guys think.

Thanks.

Well they are calling it a hip drag tackle, which is once again going to put refs in a bad light. They will make it a discretionary call and everyone will piss and moan no matter what the refs call or don't call.

I did not see the play.
I read that it was a combination hip-drop tackle and horsecollar

Thanks Reb. It looked like a hip drop to me but he could have been trying not to go out of bounds holding on to his shirt and be called for an "Unsportsman".

I'm never sure exactly what to think when things happen on a sideline. If the flag was in my pocket, I might be a bit more sure of myself.

Hill was screaming like his ankle had just been torn off. Two minutes later he's sprinting up and down the sideline.

Watching the Titans sneak by them was better than a hot fudge sundae with mixed nuts.

Raiders 63 Chargers 21, need I say more?

Other than Jack Jones had a pick 6 and Jackobi Meyers had a TD catch and threw for another one.

Say what you want, the defense has been performing all year.

Without Judon and Gonzales.

In spite of Jackson. He’s been horrible since his return. If there was a big pass play given up, I bet Jackson was in coverage. His best game was the game they made him sit out.

Just saw an article WRT Derrick Henry after their loss to Houston. He's contimplating whether he'll return to Tenn. 29 y/o kind of reminds me of when NE brought in Blount.

What do you think Vrabel and Henry (+) for BB?

The Panthers have decided that they don't want the #1 pick.

Yesterday they played a baseball game and beat the Falcons by a 9-6 yawner.

If they can beat the Pack, Jags or Bucs in the next three weeks and the Patriots keep throwing games away, The Patriots could slip in the back door and steal the first pick.

Then again, I'm sure that BB will find a way to give it to Goodell.

Anybody watch the 49ers and Ravens?

Brock Purdy showed why he was pick #256 in the 2022 draft.

Bad decisions, bad WR selection, bad passes. His only saving grace was TE George Kittle.

Purdy threw for almost 300 yards, but no TDs. He threw 4 INTs.

The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that, size matters. Purdy and Zappe are about the same size. Purdy has a huge advantage in WRs, RBs and TSs as well as huge advantage in the quality of his OL. The Ravens batted passes and roughed up the receivers last night. Side note: They won't be allowed to do it in the playoffs. Especially the shirt grabbing that they were allowed to get away with. The 33-19 score was on Purdy.

I think that Zappe might be better than Purdy if he had that same offense.

Would you rather sleep in a clean, warm bed or in a restaurant dumpster?

I’m not going to take anything away from Purdy but the guy has an O line and playmakers everywhere. Deebo, McAffrey, Kittle, and on and on.

If Purdy played on the Pats we’d probably be 4 and 11.

And ya, size certainly seems to matter at the QB position.
