Most moves in or to the AFC .... the big move in the NFC .... Wentz to Washington. :noidea:
That's a very good point. All the big moves improved AFC teams.

What really is the NFC's biggest trade/signing?
Edge Z.Smith to Minny? Sounds impactful.
WR A.Robinson to LAR?...maybe a few years ago...
QB C.Wentz to the Commies?...3rd team in 3 years...
CB C.Ward to the Niners?...LOL

Can't really compare that to what is going on in the AFC.

I agree with what your saying dad but the 1 guy who didn't want to restructure is Post June 1st cut and cap savings. Money always talks when it comes to FA players and Wagner could be sold if we bring him in for discussions to start with.

Apparently, he's acting as his own agent. Maybe that's why his demands are higher than what the market will bear.
Oh, good to know Niner as I did not read that. I'm guessing a 2 year contract with guaranteed money would entice him. Just not at $11m per season. I believe he is also 32 so looking to make some coin before his body erodes him. That happens fairly quickly after 30 or so...
I still say 2 years, 16m and he would likely sign. I also believe he has 2 solid years left in him. If we are dog shit this year and he is playing fairly well, a trade could be in order to a contender fetching a late round pick. Obviously not long term plan but fills a void now and we can draft Muma in round 2. Wagner would be a nice mentor to Muma.

Bowles wasn't given the job per se, he was hired because he earned it. I'm sure it matters to him.

Splitting hairs.

I didn't say he didn't earn it. He was already on staff.

Although, if you want to argue about frivolous things, I could bring in the following stats that suggest that he didn't earn it:

26-41 coaching record.
In his four full years as head coach he had one season above .500
In his last three years as a head coach, he went 14-34
His defense and scoring defense got worse every year he was a head coach.

On the other hand, I think he's an excellent hire and I believe he'll be successful in Tampa.

For starters, the Jets didn't have nearly the same talent when Bowles was the head coach as the Bucs do now.

This article says the same exact thing:
