How will they sign Rodgers after FT'ing Adams? Cuts elsewhere will have to be made if they keep both. The franchise tag pays Adams 19M and Rodgers wants 50M, that's 69M between two players.
Cap means nothing anymore

This same thing happened last year. They had to rework deals and cut players to get down under the cap.

If the Pack are intent on having one more run with Rodgers and the gang, there are ways to get there again this year. They've already redid the contracts of K.Clark, A.Jones, and D.Baktiari, creating 23.2M in space.

Cutting Edge Z.Smith would create 15.2M. He only played in 2 games last year and has a 27M cap #.
Extending Edge P.Smith would drop his cap # from 19M, creating 6-8M in new space or cut him and create 12.
Extending DB J.Alexander would create 6 or 7M.
Cutting WR R.Cobb would save 6.7M, but they might rework his deal to save 3 or so.
Reworking OL B.Turner's deal would save 3M.
Cut or get paycuts from TE M.Lewis and PK M.Crosby, saving 2 or 3M apiece.
Extending S. A.Amos would save about 5M (a smart move b/c he'll be good for a few more years).
They can extend Rodgers contract, even with a raise to 50M/yr, and actually create more space for this season.

It would be a very tight fit, but they could do it. Tampa and New Orleans made similar moves for their last "all in" runs.

Could be, but kicking the can down the road on the aforementioned players doesn't seem to be a Packers kind of thing. I'll rely on your perspective on them, you have a much better grasp on moves that they can make.

Cook fumbles in range of a GW FG
Kicker misses 32 yard game winning FG versus Cardinals
Defense gives up GW TD with 1:52 left after Cousins helped give them the lead.
That's 11-5 without those errors.

Zim is just pissed he is gone.
These people don’t want to see that
