He's 35 years old and has reached the highest pinnacle in any NFL career (SB) The biggest question for him is does he still has the fire to play, possibly in a backup role at this stage of his NFL life.
...And yet he had no issues with any of it in New Orleans! Everyone knows that star QBs are treated differently, why an exception here?russ did some things that didnt sit well with payton , such as being a prima donna
well i posted it early i the year but he demanded to use his own trainers , his own office etc and payton wasnt going for it...And yet he had no issues with any of it in New Orleans! Everyone knows that star QBs are treated differently, why an exception here?
Then Payton has issues with the Walton family and those who allowed it before he arrived.well i posted it early i the year but he demanded to use his own trainers , his own office etc and payton wasnt going for it
But Wilson’s stats are not bad.Russ's strength was always off schedule plays. He is not Drew Brees.
The story is deeper than that, the out going owners signed Russ. The current owner got stuck with the deal. I although Russ's stats are bad Payton isn't happy with the offense.
Will be interesting to see what happens.
Payton went into the job wanting to get rid of Wilson. I get it too. Wilson has a way of grating on people.well i posted it early i the year but he demanded to use his own trainers , his own office etc and payton wasnt going for it
That’s possible, it was a stupid contract to give much like the browns giving Watson that contract he gotThen Payton has issues with the Walton family and those who allowed it before he arrived.
I think I mentioned that in another thread. But Wilson’s stats are not bad.
In your post I quoted you said that Wilson’s stats were bad.I think I mentioned that in another thread.
I suspected that. You are right, typo on my part as I mentioned just a minute ago I don't think Russ's stats are bad.
Russ has to big of an ego to accept a backup role. He will start somewhere next season. He's 35 years old and has reached the highest pinnacle in any NFL career (SB) The biggest question for him is does he still has the fire to play, possibly in a backup role at this stage of his NFL life.
He's going to make $39M no matter what in 2024 (Guaranteed monies) So, there's a real chance that he will sign a small one-year deal somewhere or seriously consider retirement.Russ has to big of an ego to accept a backup role. He will start somewhere next season.
